Over the weekend at our vendor event a women came to me and asked what kind of needles I use during grooms
I was very shocked at the question and stated im sorry what. I have never and would never
She said that her groomer she just found out has been injecting her dog with a small amount of something by needle to calm her during grooms.
She said her dog is always sick a day or two after the groom but she just thought due to stress if grooming.
She gets small bumps on her as well.

She said she never would have known about this needle injection however she just happened to be picking her dog up when a gentleman at the desk was upset asking what she did to his dog and she said we just give a tiny needle of medication to calm Them before grooming. He said my dog doesn't need it hes fine with grooms and she said they do this to every dog before any grooming begins.

This is without permission this is without knowledge to the clients.
Has ANYONE heard of a groomer doing this.

Im sorry but everything in my 25 years of grooming tells me this is incredibly wrong in every way.

Am I wrong? Am I missing something.
She would not disclose the groomer i think out of fear she might get in trouble and would not give her name
She was very upset to hear I've never heard of groomer giving needles .
I am in port colborne and she came to my spca event so she must live close to port .
