Meet Apple 🍎

Apple is looking for a calm place to call her own, where she can settle in at her own pace and relax.
She came from an outdoor property with several other cats and would likely do well in a home with other feline friends to help her feel at home.

This little lady is quite shy but loves Catit treat tubes and is learning to trust through food and gentle interactions.
She would do best in an adult oriented, quiet, indoor home.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application linked below as the first step.

To conquer loose-leash walking, we need to take it one step at a time, and the very first one is the equipment you use.

Maren Bruun of Paw In Hand shares these three essentials to enjoying a loose-leash walk with your dog.

1️⃣Well-fitted harness: that is comfortable for the dog to wear.
2️⃣Long leash: Remember that it is important that you can safely and effectively handle it.
3️⃣Treat pouch with lots of treats: because there are plenty of things that compete for your attention!

We talk all about loose-leash walking at https://animalkind.ca/all-about-leash-walking/

Meet Stubby! 😍

This happy-go-lucky fella is ready for his next adventure, looking for an active home with a yard 🏡

We believe Stubby to be an Australian Shepherd x Husky x Chow mix! In other words, he’s a large ball of fluff and energy, often seen barreling around and exploring the great outdoors. 💨🍃

Due to his luscious locks, he will need a guardian that can keep up with regular grooming ✂️, which he quite enjoys though he gets excited easily and sessions can be short lived.

His favourite game is tug with a rope toy, but also loves a good stick! 🦴🎾
He is good with other dogs, has previously lived with children but doesn’t have good boundaries and due to his size, older children may be best. He loves people in general.
No cats will be best for this guy!

Stubby knows how to sit pretty, stay and come. Sometimes, he can have a hard time controlling his excitement and will jump up but is easily deterred and eager to please.

Stubby loves hanging out in the pool during these warm days!

We could use some donations of gently used or new pools and sun shades to help with the heat.

Any donations are greatly appreciated!
