🐤 Growing Up Fast 🐤

It didn’t take long for these little hatchlings to grow into confident, curious young birds.

Watching them explore, interact with one another, and develop their own personalities was one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. It’s amazing how quickly they transformed from tiny babies into beautiful canaries ready to spread their wings.

Looking back on these moments reminds me why I fell in love with raising canaries in the first place.

A happy flock, full of life and energy. 💛🐤

🐣 Tiny Beginnings 💛

Looking back at these tiny hatchlings still amazes me.

Completely dependent on their parents, they spent their first days being cared for by Zorro and Missy. Watching them grow stronger each day was an incredible experience and one of my favourite memories from the Little Wings journey.

So small, yet full of potential. 💛🐤

🐣 Our First Breeding Season 🐣

Looking back on our very first breeding season, it’s hard to put into words how special this journey has been.

Over the course of three clutches, Zorro and Missy welcomed a total of 10 beautiful babies into the world — 6 males and 4 females. From the first tiny hatchlings to confident young birds ready to spread their wings, every stage was filled with excitement, learning, and unforgettable memories.

Watching the dedication of the parents, seeing the babies grow stronger each day, and witnessing their unique personalities emerge was truly one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had.

Most importantly, I feel incredibly grateful that each and every one of these little birds found a loving home with wonderful families. Knowing they are appreciated and cared for makes the journey even more meaningful.

These photos and videos capture some of my favourite moments from that first season — memories that will always hold a special place in my heart. 💛🐤

🎶 Meet Zorro 🎶

This is Zorro, an American Singer canary and the father of every nest you’ll see throughout the Little Wings journey.

What makes Zorro so special isn’t just his beautiful song, but also his gentle nature and dedication as a father. Watching him care for his young and hearing him sing each day has been one of the greatest joys of raising canaries.

Such a small bird, yet so full of beauty, character, and life. 💛🐤

Meet the Parents: Zorro & Missy 🐤

Every story has a beginning, and Little Wings of Pointe-Claire began with these two special birds.

💛 Zorro, an American Singer canary, captured my heart with his beautiful song and gentle personality.

🤍 Missy, a Spanish Timbrado canary, brought energy, intelligence, and endless charm to our little flock.

Together, they gave me the incredible opportunity to witness one of life’s greatest miracles: the gift of new life.

As I build this page, I wanted to take a moment to look back and share the memories that shaped Little Wings. The next few posts will take you through our journey, beginning with our very first nest in April 2025 and the beautiful little birds that followed.
