✨ Introducing La Clinique Vétérinaire Des Chats' Boarding Service ✨

Our five-star feline accommodation provides meticulous attention to your cat’s every need and desire allowing you to enjoy your well-deserved break. Our concierge service is second to none. Housekeeping and fresh linens are provided every day and sometimes even twice a day if a small “accident” occurs. Hiding spots can be put in place if your cat desires some chill space.

Each kitty condo is spacious with a small loft area, large living space, and a separate bathroom area. The condos are made from high-quality melamine with no cold metal surfaces which cats dislike so much. If your kitty desires some extra stretching space the room is a good size with a very comfortable chair and both interactive and solitary games are provided by our caring staff.

The condos are placed so that neighbours are not facing each other. We also offer another suite in the kitchen if your kitty prefers only their own company. Our staff pays close attention to each cat’s daily well-being by regularly updating their medical record with important observations, including when they eat, drink, and their toilet habits. This allows us to monitor their habits and quickly notice any changes in their routine or overall well-being.

🐱Did you know? National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day is today, August 22nd! To honor this day, Dr. Spooner and one of our team members, Kaitlyn, brought in their cats to the clinic: meet Gerald and Juno!

Cats are experts at hiding when something is wrong. Since showing weakness makes cats more vulnerable to predators, they have become experts at concealing pain and illness. There are many reasons why taking your cat for veterinary care is important - below are just a few of them!

🏡A Clinic Environment Designed as Part of the Care

We know that the clinic environment plays an important role in a cat’s overall experience. That is why our clinic was thoughtfully designed to decrease both your stress and that of the cat.

We provide comfortable seating for you and lots of benches so your cat can be off the ground, which decreases their stress. We use very little stainless steel (cats don’t like the feel of stainless steel!) and our exam table is custom-designed so we can work around our patient. A clean soft blanket is placed on the exam table for your cat’s comfort. We have a nice library filled with books for your amusement and enlightenment, and of course, we have a great collection of cat paintings and feline statues! Our goal is for both you and your cat to feel at home 😸❤️

🩺 Meet Our Veterinarian 🩺
Dr. Spooner’s expertise is shaped by her lifelong dedication to understanding feline health, behaviour, and welfare. After completing her DVM at FMV l’Université de Montréal, she practiced small animal medicine in both Ontario and Quebec. She grew increasingly frustrated at the lack of treatment for cats with inappropriate urination, and thus she went on to complete a Master of Clinical Medicine in Feline Behaviour. For over 22 years, she has devoted her clinical time to cats only 🐈

Dr. Spooner is a dedicated lifelong learner committed to feline exclusive continuing educational platforms and conferences. Being on the forefront of new behavioural and medical knowledge for cats, Dr. Spooner practices low stress techniques to create a more comfortable and fear-free experience for cats and their families.

As a former chairwoman of the small animal welfare committee of the CVMA and current contributor to the FVMA welfare committee, she helps advance our understanding of feline welfare. In our clinic, we do not label cats as being aggressive; rather, they are anxious and we treat them accordingly 🐱❤️

Please spread the word for this lost cat. Krecik was LOST on March 12, 2026 in Pointe-Claire, QC H9R 2Y3 near Alston and Sedgefield

Message from Owner: "His name is pronounced as Cré-chi-que. He's an outdoor cat that tends to hide in backyards, under decks and possibly in bushes. He can be skittish when people are near him but if you are patient enough he might approach you. He tends to hang out with other cats so if you are a cat owner there is chance he could be near your property. "

Description: Brown fur with black strips on top, his left arm is completely white, has a Habs collar, he's also timid and not neutered.
