There are comments I have heard like, "rescue animals are broken" or "they are in a shelter for a reason, or "there is something wrong with them." It's statements like these that clearly project rescue animals as PROBLEMS OR MISFITS. The fact is, humans created this problem. Animals are cast offs to many. It's unfortunate that many of these "so called" misfits and broken animals are in our rescue systems....
