🎃👻 HALLOWEEN PET SAFETY TIPS! 🐾🧡
Halloween is a fun time for families, but it can bring a few spooky dangers for our furry friends! 🐶🐱
At Whiskers and Paws Pet Sitting Services, your pets’ safety and well-being are always close to our hearts. Here are a few tips to help keep your four-legged family members safe this Halloween! 🧡
🐾 🍫 Keep the treats to yourself! Chocolate, candy, raisins, and anything containing xylitol can be dangerous for pets. Keep Halloween goodies well out of reach!
🐾 🚪 Watch those doors! With trick-or-treaters coming and going, pets can easily slip outside. Keep them safely indoors and make sure their identification tags and microchips are up to date.
🐾 🎃 Decorate with care! Keep lit candles, electrical cords, glow sticks, and small decorations away from curious noses and paws.
🐾 👻 Costumes should be comfortable! If your pet dresses up, make sure the costume fits properly, doesn’t restrict movement or breathing, and has no small pieces they could chew or swallow. Never force a pet to wear a costume if they’re uncomfortable.
🐾 🔊 Reduce the fright! Doorbells, strange costumes, fireworks, and extra noise can be stressful for some pets. Give them a quiet, cozy place to relax away from the excitement.
🐾 🐈 Don’t forget our feline friends! Keep cats safely inside, especially black cats who may be more vulnerable to mischief during Halloween.
