🦃🍂 Thanksgiving Safety Reminders for Your Furry Family Members! 🐾
Thanksgiving is all about good food, family, and giving thanks — but not every holiday treat is safe for our pets! Before sharing your feast with your four-legged friends, keep these important tips in mind:
🚫 Skip the table scraps! Fatty foods, gravy, butter, and turkey skin can trigger pancreatitis, a painful inflammation of the pancreas that can make your pet very sick.
🦴 No bones! They can splinter and cause choking, intestinal blockages, or internal injuries.
🧅 Watch out for toxic foods! Onions, garlic, grapes, raisins, chocolate, and foods containing xylitol can be dangerous for pets.
🗑️ Secure the garbage! Turkey bones, food scraps, and discarded packaging can be tempting trouble for curious noses!
⚠️ Know the warning signs: Vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, or unusual lethargy could signal a problem. Contact a veterinarian if you notice these signs.
A little prevention goes a long way toward keeping your pets happy and healthy! 🧡
From Squishy here, and the rest of the Sheridan Family, we wish you and your furry family a safe and happy Thanksgiving! 🐾🍁
