Amberlea Animal Hospital - 780 Kingston Rd., Pickering Amberlea Animal Hospital was established in January 2012 by Dr. Kathleen Fulop. Dr. Cinthia Mak joined the family in 2019 and brings over 10yrs experience.

Dr. Fulop has been providing veterinary services to families of the GTA, Scarborough West Hill and the Durham Region, including Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa since 1999. Our focus is to strengthen and enrich the bond between owners and their pets by improving their quality of life through love and compassion for animals. VERY important to keep in mind👇👇

🔥 Avoid Strenuous Activity: Don't exercise your pet in hot weather (especially the short-snouted breeds as they are prone to overheating!). Look out for excessive panting, lethargy, or drooling. If you notice these signs, move your pet to a cooler area right away.

🌊 Stay Hydrated & Shaded: Always carry a portable water bowl to keep your pets refreshed during outings and make sure there’s a shaded spot for your pets to escape the sun’s intense rays.

🚗 Never Leave Pets in Cars: Even for a short time and even with AC on, cars can heat up dangerously fast. Leave your best bud in a safe, cool spot to avoid the risk!

🐾 Protect Those Paws: If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws! Choose grassy paths to avoid pavements that could burn your pet’s feet, or consider using paw-safe booties.
