Meet Martha May, age 3. She’s smiling because she knows she’s the best thing you’ll see today! 😍

This girl has sass, charm, and strong opinions about treats. She’d love to be the 👑 Queen of the House 👑 as your only dog, and she’s pretty sure she can handle the job!

The PHS 50/50 Lottery jackpot hit $50,000! 🎉

This number is because of every one of YOU! Every ticket helps helps animals at the shelter get the care they need while they wait for their fur-ever families!

A $5,000 Vacation Could Be Yours, But There’s a Personal Story Behind This Peterborough Humane Society Prize

Mary LaRocque, owner of Marlin Travel Peterborough, has been involved with the Peterborough Humane Society’s 50/50 Lottery for the past few years, helping offer a travel prize alongside the main cash jackpot.

The Marlin Travel Transat Ruffle is part of the Peterborough Humane Society’s Fall 2026 50/50 Lottery, which runs until November 6th.

🎉 We're over $43,000! 🎉

The PHS 50/50 Lottery jackpot just passed $43,000, and it's still climbing. Thank you to everyone who has bought tickets so far. You're the reason it keeps getting bigger, and you're the reason the animals at PHS get the care they need. 🐱🐶

There's another chance to win coming up too. The next Miskin Law Early Bird draw is October 23, and the prize is $2,000 in cash. Every 50/50 ticket you buy before then is automatically entered, so there's nothing extra to do.

Here's how to play. Visit https://phs5050.ca/a/f11 to get your tickets online or stop by the shelter during regular business hours! The lottery is open to players across Ontario, and every ticket supports the animals at PHS.

PS. Our last jackpot grew to over $137,000. How high will this one get? That's up to YOU! 🐱🐶

Did you know bingo helps the animals at the PHS?

Our friends at Delta Bingo and Gaming run charitable bingo here in Peterborough. When PHS volunteers work the bingo nights, the funds raised come back to the shelter. Every shift you give turns into support for animals waiting for their people!

There are so many ways to volunteer with the PHS, and bingo is just one of them. Some people love working with the animals at the shelter, some prefer helping out at events, and some like being part of a lively bingo crew. There's a spot for you, whatever suits you best.

Fill out a volunteer application and let us know you're interested in charitable gaming. You can start here ➡️ https://peterboroughhumanesociety.ca/support-us/give-your-time/volunteer/
