Sound on for the cutest pig snorts 📣🐽

Today’s Zoo Crew watched our Kune Kune Pigs receive enrichment with our Animal Health Technician, Leanne!

Leanne taught us all about animal enrichment and what our amazing staff do to keep our animals engaged and curious.

Today we learned about scent enrichment as they enjoyed mint and edible flowers and food enrichment with whole apples and carrots. 🍎🌸🥕

Thank you Leanne for the fun experience! We can’t wait till next weeks session on reptiles 🐍

Cold mornings, warm afternoons… Welcome to Fall! 🍂🐫

Our Bactrian camels are built for temperature extremes! Native to the harsh Gobi Desert, they experience dramatic temperature changes—from hot days to freezing cold nights. Their thick winter coat helps keep them warm as temperatures drop, and they shed it as temperatures rise.

🌏 Built for extremes, but still vulnerable. Protecting desert habitats helps give wild camels and other desert wildlife a place to thrive.

We had the BEST morning with our Zoo Crew! 🍁🐐☀️

Today’s session was all about animal feet! The kids learned the difference between paws and hooves, visited the Yaks and Barbary Sheep, touched a horn and camel fur, played fun animal-themed games, and even made a paw to take home. 🐂🐑🐾

And there’s still space for our next session, all about animal snouts! 👃🐷

The countdown is ON! Our Fun Run is just one week away! 🎉

Join us for a family-friendly race that supports a fantastic cause. This year all funds raised go towards creating a fully accessible playground at the zoo. A place where children of all abilities can play together! 💚
Choose your pace and your distance – 1 km or 5 km, walk or run- and don’t forget to wear your best animal costume! Prizes are awarded for the best outfits.

⏰1K Race kicks off at 8:15 am, followed by 5K at 9 am
