Obviously a big reason we do group meet ups is so our dogs can practice being calm around other dogs. But more importantly it’s so the handlers can connect with each other. Share story’s and experiences as a service dog handler. Training your own service dog can feel lonely but it doesn’t have to. I think community is so important as a service dog handler.
I know not everyone is able to come to our meet ups so I’m working on creating an online space where service dog handlers can connect. I’m so excited to launch this new space soon.
