Heeling Souls K9 Training Service Dog Training
Certified Service Dog Trainer

Obviously a big reason we do group meet ups is so our dogs can practice being calm around other dogs. But more importantly it’s so the handlers can connect with each other. Share story’s and experiences as a service dog handler. Training your own service dog can feel lonely but it doesn’t have to. I think community is so important as a service dog handler.

I know not everyone is able to come to our meet ups so I’m working on creating an online space where service dog handlers can connect. I’m so excited to launch this new space soon.

Quick Tip: Train outside the house

Don’t just train in your living room!
Take your training on the road grocery stores, parking lots, sidewalks, parks. 🏬🌲

Your dog needs to practice skills in different places with new smells, sounds, and distractions. That’s how you build a rock-solid, reliable service dog. 💪✨

“Can any dog be a service dog?”
Not every dog will be a service dog but many can with the right traits, training, and support!

Service dogs come in all breeds, sizes, and backgrounds. It’s not about a fancy pedigree It’s about temperament, task work, and teamwork. 💪🐾

If your dog is focused, confident, and eager to work, there’s a chance they could thrive as a service dog with the right guidance.

The most important thing? You don’t have to figure it out alone. 💛
