Smooth Strides Hoofcare We are a husband and wife farrier team who work together to keep your horses hooves as healthy as possible.

Amelia graduated from Oklahoma State Horseshoeing school in February 2015, then attended a full refresher course in late 2016. John has been helping with trims since 2015 while living in Alberta, and after a few years of actively helping, also decided to attend Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School in 2018. We have worked together ever since, to be able to give every horse we work on the best advantage possible. We offer:
Barefoot trims
Hot and cold shoeing
Corrective shoeing
Therapeutic shoeing

We have a fully stocked shoeing trailer for all of your equine partners needs, contact us today with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

This little dude is going to learn quickly that hanging out and being nosey while I’m working will end up with him getting harassed too🤣🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the horse that’s being ponied, leading the horse that’s ponying them 🤣 I think the kid needs to absorb some of Six’s confidence in leading the trail, he’s got it under control 😄

Riding a horse that’s so willing is its own special type of paradise 🥰 nice bonus that he’s easy on the eyes too 🤩

As bitter as I am about the falling leaves because it means winter is on its way, it’s also the most beautiful time of the year for rides. No bugs and what stunning colours and views 😍

Not quite sure how this little guy learned the trail so quickly, but boy is he confident about where he’s going. The children running in the lineup of horses really is the icing on top 😂
Feeling extra thankful this thanksgiving 🥰

If I start evil laughing hysterically, it’s a sure sign I’m about to take off running and you should hang on 😂 zoom zoom

🤣Sound on is best, I’m sure being stuck with me in 2026 was not on this poor mares agenda.

I guess the term ‘yawwww’ isn’t in the regular vocabulary for all horses. After a minor heart attack, she redirected herself into the trees for a short cut 🤣

Like mother, like son 🤦‍♀️ guess I can’t leave the trailer door open anymore 🤣
