🛟 We’re Proud to Be a Lifeline for Ontario’s Injured Turtles 🐢💚

Did you know that all 8 turtle species in Ontario are at risk of extinction? Turtles take decades to reach maturity, which means that every adult turtle you help save plays a crucial role in the survival of its species.

💡Here’s how you can help:

➡️ If you find an injured turtle, call the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC) right away at (705) 741-5000. You'll be connected with trained wildlife professionals and guided to a nearby First Responder clinic—like ours!

As First Responders, we:
🐢 Provide pain relief and rehydration for the turtle
🐢 Stabilize shell fractures and bandage wounds
🐢 Offer a safe space while awaiting transfer

🚗 From there, a dedicated group of volunteers—our amazing Turtle Taxi drivers—step in to transport the turtle to the OTCC hospital in Peterborough, where it can receive full veterinary care and eventually be released back into the wild.

🐾 FREE Rabies Vaccine Clinic 🐾

Ottawa Public Health is hosting a rabies clinic today April 17th from 10am until 2pm! Bring your 12 week or older dog or cat for a free rabies vaccine — first come, first served, multiple pets welcome.

📍 Ottawa: 2084 Banff Avenue, Units A and B
⏰ 10 AM – 2 PM

✔️ Cats in carriers
✔️ Dogs on leash
✔️ Proof of current vaccination required for 3-year vaccines

Rabies is a deadly virus that affects the brain and spreads through bites or saliva from infected animals. It can impact both pets and humans, but it’s easily prevented with vaccination. 💉
