Yogadog Dog Training Yogdog Dogtraining Yogadog Dog Training has a unique approach to dog training.

It combines a variety of training methods, traditional and new age, to find programs that work for all kinds of dogs and people. The five programs that we offer are loosely and humorously based on practices of Yoga. All the courses are aimed at improving the bond that the dog owner has with his or her pet and establishing better communication.

Meet Shadow…he is undergoing behavioural adjustment therapy. A “halter” helps teach him to “turn the other cheek” when he lacks self control. He was not properly socialized in his imprinting period, so is a bit of a hot mess! A halti combined with a harness gives his mom more control over his head position, while stopping his movement forward with the harness. Training puppies is so fun…watching them process behaviour chains gives me so much joy! Peaches is a little doodle with a bright future working with special needs kids. Our first objective is to teach stability and calmness. We began “mat work” to create value on a portable workspace, which eventually can be transferred to a classroom situation 💞

It has been a while since we saw the sky, so this is huge! The fire season has been tough on the lungs, tough on our neighbours in Summerland and hard on the moral here, but brighter days ahead 🥹
