Thinking of puppy’s first groom ?

Did your breeder tell you that your pup will not need a full groom till they are 8-10 months old ? And did they mention that it might be a great idea to find a groomer when pup is about 12 weeks old and to start puppy orientation?

Sadly most new owners are unaware of what’s to come ,
Forcing your 6-10 month old pup to endure a full groom without any pre foundational work is just setting your pup up for failure

Sometimes you are lucky and the pup gets through it ok
But most often the pup is freaked out , poops , pees everywhere and most often resorts to biting , going forward pup will always be terribly anxious walking into a grooming salon.

For many years I have offered a free puppy orientation session , where the owner stays
We get pup up high on table , we work with the brush and make sure owners understand the proper method of brushing , we shave pads and do nails, we clean the bum, tidy the face clean the ears and slowly introduce them to the forced air dryer . After 3-4 of these visits your pup is now ready to be left alone for a full groom
This puppy orientation session only takes 10 minutes and is completely free. Every Tuesday from 4-6 pm
