Puppies are born! Now comes the hard part. 3 hrs of sleep last night in 1 hr increments.

She likes the cool floor now.

Bitsy is hanging on during these last days of pregnancy. Eating well (Open Farm raw dehydrated puppy food), alert and interested in the world, and calmly awaiting the day the puppies will be born. Because we live on an island with less than reliable ferry service, we have been going over at night and sleeping in the vet hospital parking lot, then we get our check up in the morning and go home for the day.

In order to breed healthy puppies, health testing is a must. OFA.org compiles and confirms records of health testing results for the dogs that are registered with them. It is publicly available. Please always make sure that the parents have been health tested before choosing a puppy.

I would like to announce that Can GCH Galfox Sidetrack (Sydney) and Can CH Pollysilk Team Bit by Bit (Bitsy) have consummated their relationship! Bitsy is expecting five puppies on July 20, 2026, if all goes well. We are beyond excited!
