These disgusting creatures are still very much an issue. Furthermore, they are actually even more of a concern this time of the year and here's why.
All bugs are either dying or seeking refuge from the cooler weather. Fleas and ticks are also apart of this but for the most part, they are seeking heat and a food source.
I strongly recommend keeping your pets on a flea and tick preventive at least until there is snow on the ground but even then, I always say to have them on something all year especially if your pets are exposed to other pets and the outdoors.
When a pet comes in with fleas, it does cause quite an issue with the other appointments as most clients are not comfortable having their dogs exposed to fleas so they will end up canceling which is very difficult as my schedule is very booked up. This also causes a financial loss for me and my business.
Please be mindful of this. Please keep your dogs and cats protected 🙏
