Rehoming Astro
Looking for the Right Home for Astro!
Astro is a sweet, friendly, energetic young Border Collie looking for the right home where he can get the individual attention he deserves.

💉 Vaccinations: Up to date
✂️ Neutered: Not yet
Astro is a very loving boy with tons of energy, personality, and life. He can be a little shy when first experiencing new people or situations and is still somewhat under-socialized, but he is young, intelligent, and has lots of potential with someone willing to continue building his confidence.
Astro came into my life somewhat unexpectedly. I had originally planned on raising one puppy and ended up with two. I have genuinely tried to make raising both work, but I’ve realized that I’m not able to give Astro the amount of one-on-one training, exercise, and attention that he deserves.
Having two young dogs growing up together has also begun creating some sibling rivalry. I would rather make the difficult decision now, while Astro is still young and adaptable, so he has the opportunity to grow into a confident and well-rounded adult dog.
Being a Border Collie, Astro is extremely intelligent, quick to learn, energetic, and naturally wants something to do. He would thrive with someone who enjoys being active and wants a dog to become part of their lifestyle.
🏡 Astro’s ideal home would be:
• An active individual, couple, or family
• Someone interested in hiking, running, adventures, training, agility, obedience, disc, or other dog sports
• A home willing to continue his socialization and confidence-building
• Someone with a patient, calm, softer handling style
• Ideally a home where he can receive lots of individual attention and possibly be the only dog
Astro doesn’t need someone looking for a perfectly finished dog, he needs someone who sees the potential in a young Border Collie and wants to build that relationship with him.
This is not an easy decision for me, and finding the right home is much more important than finding the fastest home. I want Astro to go somewhere where he will be loved, exercised, trained, and included as part of the family.
