🩺✨🐾October is RVT month🐾✨🩺

Registered Veterinary Technician

At Bellevue this month we are celebrating 4 amazing team members who are Registered Veterinary Technicians, and a student Veterinary Technician.

Think of an RVT as the Veterinary equilivent of a Registered Nurse, plus a few extra roles!

🩺Anesthetist: RVTs are responsible for working with the Veterinarians and developing and management of anesthetic plans to keep your pet safe from arrival to departure; They are with patients from induction, placing IVC's and intubation, through surgery monitoring vitals, to extubation and recovery.

💉 Phlebotomist & Lab Tech: RVTs are capable of drawing blood from a number of locations and positions, as well as knowledge to run and help evaluate various critical diagnostic tests.

🦷 Dental Hygienist: RVT's help evaluate dental health, perform dental radiographs, along with scaling & polishing of teeth

🩻 Radiology: Knowledge and ex*****on of radiograph positioning for diagnostics

⚕ Nursing care: RVT's manage in patient care, from fluid therapy management, IV and oral medication administration, management of urinary catheters, feeding tubes, heat therapy, oxygen therapy, nutritional management, compassionate care and the list goes on!

📣 Client educators: RVT's are often the individuals who are providing supportive care and education on your pets medical needs

Our last regular order before October 1 will be placed on Tuesday, September 22. If your pet needs food, medication, or other items, please plan ahead and get your orders in before then!
