Nanaimo Urgent Pet Care Centre (formerly Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital) is now open every day noon to 11pm for your urgent care needs. For emergency care, Westcoast Animal Veterinary Emergency Specialty Hospital - WAVES and VCA Canada Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital are the 2 options on Vancouver Island. Other clinics, including Fantastic Beasts, have been able to offer extended hours as well - thank you to them!
Not sure if your concern is urgent or emergent, you can ALWAYS call our free after hours VetWise service where you can speak to a Veterinary Technician for guidance - 1-888-243-1411

We are so very thankful for our clients, patients and our team.

Just a heads up that we will be closed this Monday for Thanksgiving. We still have some appointments available this week if you require any care. And if you are running low on treats, food, prescription refills, we are here til Friday!

October is RVT month and we'd like to showcase the 3 RVTs we are so lucky to have on our Oceanside team - Cory, Stephanie & Céline!

We couldn't do what we do without their unwavering support for our veterinarians, care team, clients and patients. They are often referred to as our nurses and do so much - they are also lab techs, anesthesiologists, dental hygienists, nutrition consultants, phlebotomists, radiology techs, receptionists, cleaners, pharmacists, administrative assistants, physical therapists, teachers & more!
