🐾 LABOUR DAY HOURS 🐾
Our Animal Health Link (AHL) after-hours team will be available by phone this Labour Day, Monday Sept.7th to help guide pet owners with any pet-related concerns. Urgent care appointments will be available by referral through AHL for pets requiring a same-day visit.
A small team will remain onsite at Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services to provide urgent care for pets requiring assessment and treatment.
To help our team focus on pets needing urgent care, we kindly ask that food sales, prescription pickups, and other non-urgent services wait until after the holiday whenever possible.
We wish everyone a safe and happy long weekend and, as always, are incredibly appreciative of your understanding and continued support! ❤️🐾

AN UPDATE REGARDING FBVS PARKSVILLE HOURS THIS WEEKEND:
🦄 Friday, August 21 - 24hrs
🪼 Saturday, August 22 - 24hrs
🐉 Sunday, August 23 - 24 hrs

We will be open continuously from now (Thursday, Aug 20) until Friday, August 28 at 10pm.

🌟🌟🌟A few quick clarifications regarding our services:
-There will always be at least one vet and one tech in the building during these hours
-Our urgent care/after-hours services are for any animal on Vancouver Island
-We will continue to use our AHL tele-triage service to determine if animals need to be seen immediately, or if they can return to their primary vet during operating hours
-We are not an Emergency/referral hospital - we can triage everything and treat most things, but there may be times where referral to Central Victoria or WAVES emergency hospitals is more appropriate (please call prior to arrival)

FBVS Parksville will be open:
🕗 Friday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
🕗 Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
🕗 Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our community through the recent changes in local emergency veterinary services, FBVS Parksville continues to operate on an extended schedule MONDAY (Our newest extended hours day) through Friday at 10:00 PM, including overnight veterinary coverage Monday through Thursday nights.

Our team continues to explore additional ways to help improve access to urgent veterinary care for pets in our community. Please stay tuned for future updates.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital has changed their hours for this upcoming weekend. They are now open:

Friday, July 24 from 10am - 10pm
Saturday, July 25 from 10am - 10pm
Sunday, July 26 from 10am - 10pm
Monday, July 27 from 10am - 10pm

FBVS Parksville is working on a plan to extend our hours as much as possible to help pet parents. Unfortunately, with such short notice, we may not be able to provide full overnight coverage for the entire weekend.

Our current expanded hours for this weekend are:
Friday, July 24 from 8am - Midnight
Saturday, July 25 from 8am - Midnight
Sunday, July 26 from 8am - Midnight

As of Monday, July 27 we will be open every week from Mondays at 8am until Fridays at 10pm (a vet will be in the clinic overnight on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).

Please continue to check back, as we will provide updates if we are able to expand our hours further this weekend.

We would prefer to keep food sales, prescription pick up, and other non-urgent services until after the holiday if possible, to allow our team to focus on urgent care needs.

Some of you guessed it... and you were right! 🎉
We are incredibly excited to announce the opening of our third FBVS clinic in Courtenay! 🐾❤️
It is an absolute honor to be entrusted with carrying on the legacy of the beloved Puntledge Veterinary Clinic. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Ken for his many years of dedicated service, compassion, and commitment to the local community. The impact he has made is truly something to be proud of.
As we begin this new chapter, we are committed to preserving the exceptional level of care that clients and their pets have come to know and trust. We look forward to meeting the wonderful families of the Comox Valley and continuing the tradition of excellence that has made this clinic so special.
