πŸ₯œπŸ± It's Testicle Tuesday... and We've Got Quite the Lineup! 🐱πŸ₯œ

Well, well, well... what do we have here? πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚

Apparently, the boys of OVC have been keeping our surgical team BUSY!

Today's featured collection? A whole lineup of feline testicles, proudly displayed on our trusty "ball holders!" βœ‚οΈπŸΎ

We promise, there's a perfectly good veterinary reason for this... but we couldn't resist sharing a little Testicle Tuesday humour! 🀣

All jokes aside, neutering your male cat has some pretty important benefits!

🐈 Helps prevent unwanted litters
🏠 Can reduce roaming and the urge to search for a girlfriend
πŸ’¦ Often decreases urine spraying and marking
🐾 Can reduce hormone-driven fighting between male cats
🩺 Eliminates the risk of testicular cancer

And as an added bonus, neutering can help reduce some of those behaviours that put intact male cats at greater risk of injuries and infectious diseases from fighting.

So while these boys may have left a little something behind at OVC... they're heading home with some pretty great long-term benefits! 😹

πŸŽ₯ Check out our reel for a little behind-the-scenes look at Testicle Tuesday!

🐱🦊 The Fox and the... Stinker?! 🦊🐱

Move over, Disney! We've got a real-life unlikely friendship story to share! πŸ˜‚β€οΈ

Meet Stinker, one of the adorable kitties pictured here, who has apparently decided that cats aren't the only acceptable candidates for a best friend...

Stinker's new BFF is a FOX! πŸ¦ŠπŸ’•πŸˆ

Yep, you read that right! Talk about an unexpected friendship!

We absolutely LOVE hearing about the quirky personalities and unusual friendships our patients develop. Sometimes the best friendships come in the most unexpected packages! πŸ₯Ή

🐾 Now we want to hear YOUR stories!

Does your cat have a canine bestie? 🐱🐢

Does your horse have a goat sidekick? 🐴🐐

Maybe your farm dog has adopted a calf, or your pets have formed a friendship that makes absolutely no sense? πŸ˜‚

πŸ‘‡ Tell us about your pets' most unusual friendships in the comments! Bonus points for photos! πŸ“Έ

We could all use a little extra cuteness in our feeds today! πŸ’š

As adorable as Stinker's friendship sounds, a friendly reminder that wild animals are best admired from a safe distance. Close interactions can carry risks for both pets and wildlife.

🐾πŸ₯Ή Cuteness Overload: Jed Edition, Vol. 2! πŸ₯ΉπŸΎ

You didn't think we were done sharing this little heartbreaker, did you?! 😍

He's baaaaack! And apparently, one post just wasn't enough to contain all this cuteness! πŸ˜‚β€οΈ

Our adorable friend Jed is making another appearance on your feed, and honestly... we're not even sorry!

Some patients are just too cute NOT to share twice. πŸΎπŸ’š

🎬 Jed: The Sequel β€” More Cuteness, Same Heart-Stealing Face!

Fair warning: You may need to watch this one more than once. We certainly did! πŸ₯°

πŸ‘‡ Be honest... how many times have you watched Jed's reel? πŸ˜‚

πŸ„πŸ“… Have You Booked Your Herd Pregnancy Diagnosis Yet?

Fall is here, and our DVM team is booking herd pregnancy diagnosis appointments!

Preg checking isn’t just about finding out which cows are bred β€” it’s a valuable management tool that can help you make informed decisions that affect your bottom line.

πŸ’° Why preg check your herd?

πŸ„ Identify open cows – Avoid carrying and feeding an open cow through the winter when she won’t be producing a calf next spring.

🌾 Make better use of your feed – Knowing pregnancy status can help you sort cattle and allocate feed where it provides the most value, especially when winter feed is costly or limited.

πŸ“Š Make earlier management decisions – Identifying open or late-bred cows gives you more information when making culling, marketing and replacement decisions.

πŸ“… Plan for calving season – Pregnancy staging can help give you a better idea of when cows are expected to calve, allowing you to plan labour, facilities and nutrition accordingly.

πŸ”Ž Evaluate herd reproductive performance – Your pregnancy results can help identify trends in your breeding program and highlight areas that may deserve a closer look before next breeding season.

Every open cow carried through the winter represents feed, space and resources without a calf at the end of it. Knowing now gives you options.

πŸ“ž Our DVM team is booking fall pregnancy diagnosis appointments now. Give Outlook Veterinary Clinic a call to get your herd on the schedule!

πŸ„ Better information. Better management decisions. A stronger bottom line.

πŸ‚πŸ¦ƒ Happy Thanksgiving from Outlook Veterinary Clinic! πŸ¦ƒπŸ‚

Today, we’re feeling especially thankful for the wonderful clients, families, producers and communities who continue to trust us with the care of their animals. Whether they have paws, hooves or anything in between, it is a privilege to be part of their care. πŸΆπŸ±πŸ΄πŸ„β€οΈ

A friendly reminder that Outlook Veterinary Clinic is CLOSED today, Monday, October 12th, for Thanksgiving. We will resume our regular clinic hours tomorrow.

From our OVC family to yours, we wish you a safe, happy and relaxing Thanksgiving! 🍁

We hope your day is filled with good food, great company and plenty to be thankful for. 🧑

10/10/2026

πŸ¦ƒπŸ‚ The Thanksgiving feast is almost here… and you KNOW they’ll be watching every bite. πŸ‘€πŸΆπŸ±

As convincing as those puppy-dog eyes may be, sharing rich, fatty Thanksgiving foods can lead to more than just an upset tummy. Vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and even pancreatitis can quickly turn a holiday weekend into an unexpected trip to the vet. πŸ₯

❀️ This Thanksgiving, show them you love them by skipping the table scraps and sticking with their regular food or a pet-safe treat.

Because no matter what that face tells you… they really don’t need a plate of Thanksgiving dinner. πŸ˜‚πŸΎ

Stay safe, enjoy the feast, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend from all of us at OVC! πŸ¦ƒπŸ§‘

🚨🐾 SOMEONE'S MISSING THEIR GIRL! 🐾🚨

This beautiful black Lab lady has found herself in a bit of a pickle! 🐢🧑

She's sporting a very fashionable blaze orange Carhartt collar and is currently waiting for her humans to come bail her out!

We weren't able to detect a microchip, but in her defence, she thought our scanner was a little too spooky and had some strong opinions about it! πŸ˜… So we can't say for certain whether she's chipped or not.

She's a beautiful girl, and we're sure someone is missing her! ❀️

🏑 RECOGNIZE THIS CUTIE?

If she's yours, or you know where she belongs, please contact the Town of Outlook Office at 306-867-8663 (Option 9) to help her get her official GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD! πŸŽŸοΈπŸ•

πŸ“£ Please share so we can reunite this lovely lady with her family!
