Hi all,

One of our fellow corgi owners is looking for a suitable home for their 11 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Levi. It was not their intention to rehome him, but they are expecting a newborn baby this week and despite their best efforts with consistent training, they will not be able to keep him around young children due to his high herding drive (nipping, barking, chasing). He would be best with a home with older children or no children or small pets due to his high herding drive. He needs a home with people who have experience with training a highly driven adolescent corgi. He is great with other dogs, and people. He may eventually be good with cats for now he just wants to chase them. He is friendly, cuddly and intelligent and crate trained. He loves going to the dog park to run with other dogs, going for walks around the neighborhood and enjoys off leash trail walks too. He was neutered in July, is microchipped and up to date on all of his vaccines.

For anyone interested, please contact them at [email protected]

Thanks

It's time for our annual big event of the year, the Halloween Corgi Parade! We will gather on Sparks Street outside of the CBC building. First, we will have a costume contest so please put on the best costume for your corgi! Then we will parade towards Elgin Street, cross the street pass the Confederation Square and end by the Rideau Canal to take a group photo.
(if weather is not cooperating, event may be moved to the next day, please watch for updates)
Look forward to seeing you all!

Spread the word and let's show Ottawa how beautiful our corgis are!

General reminders:
-Please let your corgis do their businesses before joining the parade
-Make sure to clean up if your corgis do p**p on the street
-Follow the lead (Felix with Ottawa Corgi Sign, who will be dressed in a bright red corgi coat)
-Spectators please ask for permission before patting any dogs.
-Keep your corgis on leash
