Good Morning!
These paws prints are in memory of Roux, who very recently passed from acute kidney failure. Every morning of his 3 short years, he would wake me with a HUG. Full on, paws around my neck. I have tattooed his paws exactly where they would rest each morning. My forever hug ❤️
Have a great day everyone!

Happy Canada Day!!
Remember even though the fireworks are enjoyable for most people, they can be very frightening for our pets. Keep them indoors and safe as this is one day when many pets run away in fear and get lost.

This is our first real heat wave and there may be more as our summer progresses. Signs of heat stroke can be the following: Dehydration, vomiting, diarrhea, heavy panting, excessive drooling, bright red gums, higher heart rate, elevated body temperature, disorientation and muscle tremors. Our pets could have some of these signs so if you are concerned, please call the clinic or an emergency facility as soon as possible.
Not everyone has facebook or checks our account, so please pass this information on to family and friends as well as neighbours

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day

06/20/2025

Today is the first day of summer and the temperatures are warming up. As a reminder to our clients, please keep your pets cool during hot weather and have plenty of water for them to drink. Try to exercise the dogs in the cool of the morning or evening. They are wearing fur coats and the pavement gets very hot and could damage their pads. If it is too hot for you to walk in bare feet on the pavement, then it is too hot for our pets.
We hope everyone enjoys their summer.

Medication refills or requests:
At the clinic, we have a process/protocol for refilling all medications. They all need approval from one of our doctors, so we ask that please do not run out of your pet's medication and allow 48 - 72 hours for the refills to be processed. We will call you when they are ready for pick up. Compounded drugs are ordered once a week on a Tuesday and they can take at least 48 hours before arriving at the clinic. If you have any questions please contact the clinic at 613 826 3456.
