TopDog's Mutt-e-Ssori We are Orillia's premium dog daycare and enrichment center The concept of TopDog began over 25 years ago with Kathy Currie-Eyers' dream.

She dreamt of creating a caring, learning environment for dogs. A place they could go and learn skills that would make them valued members of their families and keep them in their forever homes. With science based training, positive reinforcement and ongoing education, we have helped hundreds of dogs work through various behavioral issues, and develop deeper, happier relationships with their people. That dream became a facility in 2005, with the opening of our first location in Barrie. Since then the TopDog brand has excelled, winning multiple awards such as Barrie's Best Facility. Along with Readers Choice awards under categories of Training, Daycare and Grooming. Most recently they were honored with the Consumer's Choice award. Over the years we begin researching enrichment for dogs. That's when Topdog's Mutt-e-Ssori was born! We are a premium doggie enrichment and training facility where dog's can come to play, exercise, and learn while you work! We offer enrichment daycare, daycare based training programs, as well as group classes and individualized training and in home overnight care. We also work with our sister location in Barrie to offer full pet care services including grooming and overnight care.

We also operate Just-n-Time Rescue which is a small but loving all-breed dog (and the occasional cat) rescue that operates out of TopDog in Barrie. Since conception, Just-n-Time has helped save many dogs from euthanasia and even more find the right furever home.

Bandit was our very first pup to head out on a Solo Adventure Run!! 🐾💚 He had an absolute blast exploring the trail, running around, playing lots of fetch with his favourite ball, and stopping to take in all the exciting smells along the way! Safe to say Bandit made the most of his adventure, and we couldn’t have asked for a better pup to kick off our new service!! 🌲🐶

🍂🐾 Today, we are thankful. 🧡

Thankful for the wagging tails, happy faces, muddy paws, and unconditional love that fill our days.

Thankful for the incredible families who trust us with their beloved dogs, the amazing team who pours their hearts into what they do, and every four-legged personality that makes TopDog’s Muttessori such a special place.

We know that trusting someone with your dog is no small thing, and we never take that privilege for granted.

From our TopDog’s family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁

May your day be filled with love, laughter, good food, and a few extra treats for the dogs!

Our sweet Sadie and her family are moving away, which means it’s time for us to say goodbye to a girl who has been such a special part of TopDog’s Muttessori💕

Sadie is one of those dogs who is hard to quite put into words. Calm but wonderfully quirky. Funny without even trying to be. Steady, gentle, and just so genuinely lovely to have around. She has been a true gift in daycare, and one of those dogs whose presence quietly becomes part of the fabric of the place.

We know Sadie’s family has a lot of change ahead of them, and we’re sending them so much love as they navigate it. We feel incredibly lucky that, for a little piece of Sadie’s story, she got to be ours too.

You are going to be very, very missed, sweet girl. ❤️

💙 Welcome back, Brutus & Portia!

A couple of our favourite Frenchies are back in the building! 🐾

They’re getting back into the swing of things, catching up with friends, and reminding us just how much personality can fit into two little Frenchie bodies. 😂 It’s good to have you back, you two!

🍂 Thanksgiving Closure Notice 🦃

Just a heads-up to our Muttessori families that TopDog’s Muttessori will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving long weekend so our team can enjoy a well-deserved break with their families, two-legged and four-legged alike. 🐾

Please keep the closure in mind when booking your October dates and requesting your monthly packages. For our usual Monday pups, you’re welcome to bump your daycare day to another day that week, or request a smaller package for October to accommodate the missed Monday.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with good food, cozy fall adventures, and dogs strategically positioned beneath the dinner table waiting for something to “accidentally” hit the floor. 😂🍗

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at TopDog’s Muttessori! 🧡🐾
