➡️ Reclaiming Your Animal
To reclaim a stray animal, the following are required:

📌 Valid photo ID
📌 Proof of ownership, such as photos, identifying details, or veterinary records
📌 A collar and leash or appropriate carrier for transport home
📌 For dogs: Payment of the municipally set impound/reclaim fee, as determined by the applicable Township (Orillia, Severn, or Gravenhurst), and proof of current licensing with the City of Orillia or Township of Severn

Please note: Impound and reclaim fees are established by the respective municipalities, not by the SPCA. We are required to collect these fees on their behalf.

To mark World Rabies Day, the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is helping ensure that cost is never the reason a pet goes unprotected against this deadly but preventable disease.

World Rabies Day is Sept 28th, and the Ontario SPCA is hosting free vaccination clinics in communities across the province. Thanks to vaccines generously donated by Boehringer Ingelheim, we're aiming to protect approximately 500 pets against rabies.

Meet Lily!

Lily is a beautiful 12-year-old torti girl with a big personality and plenty to say! This sweet senior is affectionate, social, and wonderfully vocal. She loves spending time with people and isn’t shy about letting you know when she has something to say. Whether she’s looking for some attention or simply wants to be part of what’s going on, Lily is always happy to have some company.

Lily would love a home where she can settle in, get comfortable, and enjoy all the love and attention she deserves. She has a friendly, outgoing personality and is the type of cat who will happily keep you company throughout your day. Her chatty nature is just one of the many things that makes her so endearing, and anyone who enjoys a cat with plenty of personality will have a hard time resisting her charm.

Lily does have hyperthyroidism, which is currently well regulated. With the right care, she is able to enjoy all the things she loves, including spending time with her people and being her wonderfully social self.

At 12 years old, Lily is ready to leave the shelter behind and enjoy her golden years in a loving home. She has so much affection and companionship to offer and would love nothing more than to find someone who will appreciate her for the wonderful girl she is.

And at just $100, Lily’s adoption fee makes bringing this lovely senior home even sweeter!

Meet Charlee 🐾

Charlee is a beautiful 7-year-old Cane Corso with a heart just as big as she is! This energetic, incredibly sweet girl has made so much progress since coming into our care, and we couldn't be prouder of the confident, loving dog she's becoming. 💕

Charlee is quite the talkative lady when she wants to go outside, or when she feels like she's not getting quite enough attention. But honestly... how could anyone not pay attention to this big, beautiful girl? She's pretty perfect in our eyes! 🥰

Charlee absolutely loves her toys, but cuddles and affection might just be her favourite things. She has no idea that she's a 100-pound lady and will happily lean into you, push her way closer for extra pets, or try to climb right into your lap for some quality snuggle time. She especially enjoys a good pat on the butt and scratches along her side. ❤️

Charlee is looking for a home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to enjoy all the love, attention, and affection she deserves. She has so much love to give and will thrive with a family that understands her need to be the star of the show.

Meet Royce! 🐾

Royce is a very sweet 2-year-old Terrier mix who enjoys taking life at his own pace. He’s an independent guy who typically keeps to himself, spending much of his time sniffing, exploring, and taking in everything around him.

While Royce may be a little reserved, he is happy to approach people and enjoys engaging with them, especially when it comes with some well-deserved rubs! His gentle, easygoing nature makes him a lovely companion for someone who appreciates a dog who can happily do his own thing while still enjoying some affection.

Royce has not yet been tested with children or other animals, so introductions should be handled thoughtfully and at his pace.

If you’re looking for a sweet, curious companion who enjoys exploring and the occasional cuddle session, Royce may be the boy for you!

Meet Jaxx! 🐾

At 6 years old, Jaxx is a total sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles! This handsome Doberman is happiest when he’s by your side. He’ll gladly walk right up to you, rest his head on you, and soak up all the affection he can get.

Jaxx also loves getting out and about! He enjoys running around, exploring on walks, and, of course, earning tasty treats. He knows his sit and paw commands and is always happy to show off his skills for a reward.

When it comes to walks, Jaxx enjoys taking in all the sights and smells, but he can pull on leash. A harness makes walks much easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

Jaxx is looking for a home where he will be the only animal. His ideal family will appreciate his affectionate nature, give him plenty of love and attention, and enjoy having a devoted cuddle buddy by their side.

Happy adoption update for Oscar, now lovingly renamed Magnus! 🐾💙

Magnus’s family shared that he is the most beautiful, loving dog and that he fit right in the moment he came home. They couldn’t have asked for a better dog!

We couldn’t be happier knowing that Magnus has found such a wonderful forever home where he is so loved and cherished. 💙Seeing our dogs settle into their new lives and become part of a family is what it’s all about!
