This might have been our best show yet! The schedule was spot on and the day didn't start too early or go too late. The transition from dressage to EOH to speed was smooth and timely. Even though it rained, everyone stayed cozy inside and had a chance to warm up before their round. As the judge, Kerry Marit made time to give everyone some personalized feedback and really made every ride feel special.

We had a gang of volunteers that knew their roles and filled in seamlessly. The riders were also great with tearing down and setting up. Some familiar faces from Prairie West, but in different roles than usual. Even a bit of illness, stage fright, and naughty ponies couldn't derail this day. The provided lunch offered an opportunity for everyone to meet their fellow competitors. Thanks for the amazing spread, Debbie and Klazien!

The name of the overall winner of each level was drawn from a colander :) so each person had an equal chance at choosing their prize. Thank you for the sponsorship CanTack Equestrian and CommonWealth Saddles!

We look forward to hosting more working equitation shows in the new year!

The clinic is wrapping up and set up for tomorrow will begin shortly. Even though the weather isn't looking great, it's an indoor event, so you can come cheer in comfort!

Thank you to everyone who signed up, volunteered to help and donated prizes! This really is a super supportive community.

We will be running our September Working Equitation show as a single one day show this year. September 26 is the chosen date. Please send in your entry if you would like to be on the waitlist, but don't send any money until I can confirm you have a spot. Entries are open until September 5, but riders on the waitlist may be able to get into the show as late as September 23. Thank you for your patience! I'm excited to see how this experiment turns out!

Donna and Hypnotiq (Beau) were the winners of the working equitation high point prize at our August 8 show! They received a 70.5% in their Advance level working equitation dressage test. CommonWealth Saddles donated a beautiful bridle and let Donna pick the size and color that worked for her horse. Thank you so much for the sponsorship! Great riding Donna and we look forward to see more riders at the September 26 working equitation show!

The September WE show (September 26, maybe 27) is full if we leave it as a single one day event.
If you are hoping to participate, please sign up still! https://www.kaspianequestrian.com/copy-of-shows

We will decide August 24 if it will be a one day show, 2 one day shows, or a 2 day show based on entry numbers at that time.

You will be on the waitlist for the single day show, but every entry brings us closer to hosting another day. The popular vote has been for 2 one day shows and not the whole weekend. If we get enough entries for 2 days, there is room in both the Saturday and Sunday show as many people are flexible.

I hope to see you all there!

Please complete the show registration online fillable form. We will email you a conformation. Please etransfer payment to [email protected]. Waivers can be signed at site on show day.

**The online entry form has refused to cooperate for some people. Please send me a screenshot of the filled form or just email me the information from the form to [email protected] if this happens to you.**

We have had so much interest in our September WE show that we are looking at options to fit more people.

Entries will open on August 15 to give us a better idea of numbers well ahead of the show. Ignore the date on the poster. Please go to https://www.kaspianequestrian.com/copy-of-shows on Saturday to submit your entry.

You will notice a poll at the bottom of the entry. Based on the response we get from riders, we may change the format of the show to a 2 day show or 2 one days shows. Please note that at this time you are signing up for a one day show on Saturday September 26.

We are so excited about the response from the community and hope we can host a great event for everyone. We are also still offering a clinic on Friday September 25. Riders that have never done WE are welcome to join as well as experienced riders wanting to hone their skills. We will have separate groups to facilitate a great learning day.

We have a few fun sponsors for our Kaspian Dressage Collage. As if you needed more incentive to come play!

Parkland Area Alberta Dressage Association provided a sponsorship for schooling shows.

CanTack Equestrian has donated some awesome prizes again. They will also have their mobile tack store in the parking lot, if you want to do some fun shopping and check them out!

CommonWealth Saddles has donated a fancy bridle. They will have a small selection of items to see in person or you can order online and pick up at the show.

I'm so looking forward to this show!

I have good and bad news depending on who you are.

The Kaspian Dressage Collage on August 8 is full! We have never filled up this fast! I will be keeping a waitlist, so please send your entries in, but do not send an etransfer until you hear back from me. The email coordinator is away and will not be able to respond to waitlist requests until July 28. Entry form available at https://www.kaspianequestrian.com/shows-entries

We are hosting another show this year! September 26 will be a working equitation show run in a similar way to our usual shows, but include the speed round for applicable levels. There is also a clinic on Friday, September 25, for anyone looking to get into the sport or already competed with specific areas they would like to improve. Entries for the September show don't open until August 22.
