I've been hearing a bunch of stories lately about kids walking dogs they just can't quite handle. So, I wanted to share a few little tips to help make sure everyone stays safe and happy! 🐾

💡Use two leashes/lines — the adult holds the shorter one, while the child holds the longer one. This keeps the adult in full control of the dog while still letting the child be involved.

🚩If your dog is strong enough to pull a child over, the child should not walk the dog alone. This is important for the safety of the child, the dog, and others nearby. Even the most friendly and happy dogs can encounter unforeseen circumstances during walks.

Setting kids and dogs up for safe, positive experiences helps build confidence for both.💛

I've been seeing a lot more Black Henbane and foxtails around lately.

Black Henbane is a toxic plant that can make people and pets very sick if eaten, and foxtails can cause some nasty injuries if they get stuck in your dog's paws, ears, nose, or skin.

🐾 Worth keeping an eye out for on your walks this summer!
