It’s about comfort.

Duke can only stand for about a minute at a time, so we meet him where he is — quite literally. Most of his groom happens on the floor, with Mom & Dad right there as part of his care team.

We groom what Duke comfortably allows, take breaks when he needs them, and make his spa day about him.

Because after a lifetime of unconditional love, our seniors deserve that same patience, kindness and grace in return. 🐾

Cali & Lola — 16 Years Young 💕

Today’s grooming appointment was an extra-special one. Meet Callie & Lola, two absolutely adorable 16-year-old Pomeranian girls. 🥹🐾

At this wonderful age, grooming isn’t about perfection — it’s about comfort, patience, kindness and working at their pace. Being able to groom these little ladies right in the familiarity of their own home is their comfort.

Pomeranians may come in tiny packages, but they descend from much larger Spitz-type dogs. Beneath all that fabulous fluff is a dense double coat, with a soft insulating undercoat and longer protective outer coat. Regular brushing, bathing and proper drying help release loose undercoat and keep that beautiful coat healthy — especially important as our little friends grow older.

At 16 years young, Cali & Lola have certainly earned the right to have things done on their terms. 🥰

✨ Meet Digby — the Dandie Dinmont Terrier! ✨

Today I had the pleasure of grooming this handsome little gentleman, Digby — he belongs to a very special and incredibly rare breed. 🐾

The Dandie Dinmont Terrier originated along the border of Scotland and England, where these tough little dogs were bred to hunt formidable quarry such as badgers and otters. Small in stature but certainly not in personality, Dandies are known for being intelligent, independent, courageous and wonderfully devoted to their people.

Fun piece of history — the Dandie is the only dog breed named after a fictional character! The breed took its name from Dandie Dinmont, a character in Sir Walter Scott’s 1815 novel Guy Mannering.

They are a rare little piece of canine history — which made having Digby on my grooming table today that much more special.

Thank you, Digby, for all your kisses and for being such a lovely Dandie Dinmont Terrier. 🐾

Big dogs. Bigger hearts. And a whole lot of coat. 🐾🤎

Bernese Mountain Dogs are known for their sweet, gentle nature — and that beautiful, thick double coat!

That coat is designed to protect them from the elements, but it also means a LOT of undercoat needs to come out, especially during seasonal shedding.

A proper de-shed isn’t about shaving or stripping away their protective coat. It’s about loosening and removing the dead, compacted undercoat so air can move through the coat, the skin can breathe, and that beautiful outer coat can lie naturally.

Bella Blue’s groom today met the vibe of Peg from Lady and the Tramp !

*this is our pre shave photo. Pre shave had to be done because of extreme matting (pelted coat) caused by the wear of a medical onesie. The onsie was needed because of surgery, but Bella’s fine silkie hair didn’t tolerate the friction well. Her owners love her dearly and brush her regularly, so they were devastated that they didn’t know of the extent of the tangles.

Mom and I will work together as the coat comes back to style into more cute cuts, as we keep grooming enjoyable for this little puppy. Today was to get the pelleting taken care. 3 hours was a huge thing for this little girl today.

Grateful to be able to provide the support and compassion to clients and their pets!
