West Prince Veterinary Hospital We understand the special role your pet plays in your family. We are dedicated to providing quality We also offer 24-hour emergency care.

We are a full-service hospital offering personal, compassionate, affordable, quality care. Some of our small animal services indude: General Surgery, Dental cleaning/extractions, Acupuncture, In-house Laboratory, Ultrasound, Radiographs, Grooming, Vaccinations, Boarding, Walk-in Pedicures & face-trims, Micro-chip pet identification, Retail center, Nutrition & weight-management counseling, and Preventive health care. Both in-hospital and ambulatory services provide treatment to large animals on a scheduled or emergency basis. Some large animal services include: Reproductive Herd Health programs, Ambulatory farm calls, Breeding services, Minor surgical procedures, Field radiology and ultrasound, Acupuncture, Equine joint injections, Embryo transfer referral, and Bovine fetal sexing.

We’re celebrating vet tech Quinn Chaisson’s 5-year anniversary with our team!

Quinn keeps us laughing and brings plenty of personality to the clinic, but behind that great sense of humour is a dedicated veterinary technician who takes her job seriously. She’s always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our patients receive the best possible care. Her compassion, commitment, and genuine love for what she does make a real difference to the animals and families we care for every day.

Thanks for five years of hard work, dedication, laughs, and putting up with us! We’re lucky to have you on our team - even if you’re probably wondering what kind of circus you signed up for!

Happy Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week!

Ever wonder who can draw blood from a wiggly patient, calculate drug doses, comfort worried pets, clean up bodily fluids, and still manage to eat lunch?

Our veterinary technicians do all this and so much more.

They’re part nurse, part detective, part animal whisperer, part mind reader, and occasionally part contortionist. They handle the messy, the stressful, the unpredictable, and the downright gross — all while giving our patients the care and compassion they deserve.

Veterinary medicine would be a whole lot harder without them.

To our amazing technicians, thank you for your hard work, your big hearts, your incredible skills, and for putting up with all the craziness that comes with this job. We appreciate everything you do — even if we don’t always say it between appointments!

Some members of our team got creative for this year’s Fall Fest Scarecrow Contest! A big shout-out to Joyce, Krystle and Maureen, along with Maureen’s son, for all their hard work putting our veterinary-themed entry together. 🐾

We’re proud to have a team that enjoys getting involved and being part of our community. ❤️

They definitely put a lot of creativity into this one — and we think their scarecrow turned out pretty great!

UPDATED PRESCRIPTION REFILL POLICY

To help us provide efficient service and ensure medications are ready when needed, we are implementing a 24-hour notice requirement for all prescription refills.

Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to request a refill. This allows our team sufficient time to review the prescription, obtain veterinary authorization when necessary and prepare your medication.

Please note:

* Prescription refills are not guaranteed to be available for immediate pickup when requested in person.
* Requests received late in the day, on weekends or on holidays may take longer to process.
* Refills may require a veterinary examination or reassessment before they can be authorized.

We understand that this is a change in routine and appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to provide the best possible care for your pets.
