Our focus is making genuine connections with our valued 2 -legged customers. It’s with the deepest sadness that we share the passing of our girl, Jo.

Jo was the ultimate adventure dog. We would always joke that you might not know where Jo was on the trails, but she always knew where you were!!! With how much she loved to run, she easily covered twice the distance of everyone else on every hike.

Over the years, Jo met so many walkers (she was the kind of gal that could befriend anyone) and so many dog friends - she especially loved Indie and her Thursday crew. We were also lucky enough to share many sleepovers with her, giving us even MORE time to love her and be part of her adventures. We are so so lucky. ❤️‍🩹

Jo Jo, we love you. Thank you for reminding us to never stop exploring, to chase every adventure, and to make the most of life. After all, we’re only here for such a short time. We like to think that her beloved cat best friends, Hearth and Little Dipper, were there to greet her on the other side.

Rest easy, sweet girl. ❤️

Our big Olive crossed the rainbow bridge. ❤️‍🩹

To know Olive was to love her. She was the gentlest giant, with so much love to give to her friends. She had a way of making everyone feel special - whether she was leaning all her weight into you, squeezing herself between your legs, or looking up at you for just ONE more cuddle!

Olive had many sleepovers and made countless memories with the NSDW crew over the years. As one of her walkers Pauline said, “She was just a big ball of joy, love and drool”. ❤️❤️

Ahhh… these posts never get any easier to write.
We had a walk with Mac yesterday, not realizing it would be our last. ❤️‍🩹

Here’s a story about how we met Mac. Back in July 2022, Mac’s nephew and roommate, Alfred joined us for walks! About a month in, the walker went to pick up Alfred… except it was Mac who hopped in and joined the adventure instead. While we know how easily that could have gone sideways, the stars truly aligned that day. Mac was an absolute angel on his walk…even recalling to Alfred’s name. Safe to say it turned out to be one of the best “mistakes” we’ve ever made. 😅
Nearly four years later, we’ve had the joy and privilege of walking Mac weekly ever since.

Mac was one of a kind. His personality shone so brightly, and he kept us laughing constantly. He loved charming the ladies, teaching us how to speak hound, and reminding everyone that age is just a number. ❤️

We are going to miss you so much, Mac.

Sad news for everyone at NSDW - our best boy Charlie passed away. 💙

We were so lucky to know Charlie for nearly his whole life. He truly lived by the saying, “here for a good time, not a long time.” In his 6 short years, he packed in a lifetime of joy, adventure, and love. We were especially lucky to share 5 of those years with him on countless trails and adventures.. we are so grateful for that.

Charlie was a friend to everyone - dogs and humans alike. He had a way of making every person and pup feel like his best friend. He was deeply loved, and loved right back just as hard. ❤️

No amount of time ever feels like enough when it comes to the dogs we get to share our days with. It’s a reminder to never take a single hike, muddy pawprint, or happy tail wag for granted. 💙

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our sweet Zoe as she crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈🤍

We first met Zoe almost a year ago when she began her adventures with our Gentle Hikers. From day one, she was sweetness embodied - a tender old soul who was usually curled up on the couch, blinking sleepily as we arrived to take her on her outing. It was the cutest thing ever!

Her bond with her walker, Louis, was something truly special. The love between them was quiet, steady, and unmistakable - the kind of connection that stays with you. ❤️

Last year, her family welcomed her fur-brother, Roscoe, and it was such a gift to watch the two of them explore the trails side by side. Guiding them through those moments together is something we’ll always be grateful for.

Fly high, beautiful Zoe. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed. 🤍

It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of sweet Penny.

Penny was the beloved dog of one of our walkers, Jessie. For anyone who knows Jessie, you know Penny was her whole world. They were two halves of the same soul - the ultimate adventure duo, perfectly matched, and meant to navigate life side by side.

Earlier this year, we shared that Penny had been diagnosed with MUE - many of you kindly shared and donated to the GoFund me. Jessie pursued every possible avenue of care, doing everything in her power to help Penny fight this heartbreaking and poorly understood disease.

Penny will be deeply missed - by her trail friends, the many dogs who had sleepovers with her at Jessie’s, and every person lucky enough to have known her silly, joyful spirit.

We are sending all our love and light to Jessie and her husband Jeff during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️

Fly high, sweet angel Penny. May you be running free in endless sunshine, chasing all the squirrels. You are so so loved. ❤️
