Anyone else practice mechanics with an invisible dog in their living room? Just me? 😅

Seriously, though. Practice without your dog first, people! You’ll thank me later 😘

The above are a few of the more common places therapy dogs are commonly utilized. However, recently they’ve come to be a welcomed addition into the Court Rooms and at Emergency Centers not only for the people in the scary courtroom or emergency situation but for the First Responders as well.

Interested in preparing your dog for Therapy Dog Work or The Canine Good Citizen evaluations? I’m running a 6-week online course through Online Dog Sports & Pet Dog Training to teach you all the skills and prep you and your dog for these environments.

We’re here to support you on that journey so it’s more of a vacation than a gruelling trip 😉

ELEVATOR ETIQUETTE

We want riding an elevator to be a positive experience for both our dogs and others, especially in a specific environment such as a nursing home, hospital or other public situation such as libraries or schools. One way to ensure this is to maintain elevator etiquette at all times. This means that your dog should not approach people uninvited, should be protected from unwanted contact by people or other dogs and/or the possibility of being stepped on.
