We’re celebrating 10 years of Cascadia Dog Training with our biggest pack walk yet, and it’s completely FREE!

Ten years of P.U.P. Walks wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible pack walk supporters, so this one’s on us. It’s our way of saying thank you and giving back to the community that’s walked alongside us since day one.

We’re bringing the trail to life with drill stations for: reactivity work, confidence building, impulse control, plus some just for fun surprises along the way 👀

ANY dog is welcome, no matter their training level. Reactive, shy, still learning, total pro, it doesn’t matter.

When Cathy rescued Gracie, she had no idea what she was in for.

Gracie was a dog who pulled relentlessly on leash, reacted to other dogs, jumped on everyone, ignored the rules, and had virtually no recall. She had even pulled Cathy over multiple times, making everyday walks stressful and unsafe.

Through consistent training, guidance, and hard work from both Cathy and Gracie, everything changed. Today, Gracie walks politely, listens reliably, and has become the companion Cathy always hoped for.
The best part? Cathy is now completely in love with Gracie.

Stories like this are why we do what we do!

Nobody wants it and we definitely don’t like seeing it 🫣

Clove was a MAJOR puller, her nose was always busy and it caused her owner all kinds of back and shoulder pain. What Clove really needed was some structure on the walks to let her know that she can be a ✨passenger princess✨ but not the driver 🙂‍↔️

Have you ever had to hold your dog back when guests arrive? Or apologize for their jumping and craziness? There’s only one tool you need to stop this: the leash.

Before your guests arrive, leash your dog and either tie them down or put your foot where it allows just enough room for your dog to stand but not jump. That’s the easy part. The hard part is to make sure your guests don’t pay any attention to your pup UNTIL they are fully calm. And by fully we mean basically bored (like Buck in this video.) Only when your dog is in this state of mind should attention and affection be given.

Rewarding calmness is how we reinforce this behaviour and the more you practice, the faster they’ll reach this state. Try it out!
