LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER HOME! 🐾
*please share*
I have worked with rose personally for a number of years and welcomed her into our home with our dog for multi day stays and she is a wonderful and adaptive companion!
Rose is a beautiful, compact, and very athletic 3 year old Rat Terrier, about 35 lbs, who is as intelligent as she is affectionate. She is deeply people-oriented and loves physical closeness, whether it’s sitting right next to you, climbing onto your lap, or burrowing under the blankets. She also loves food and snacks, which makes her easy to engage with and train.
Raised in a loving home, Rose is confident, curious, and emotionally steady. She’s independent in a healthy way, but her strongest bond is always with her human. She learns quickly, enjoys engagement, and thrives with both mental and physical stimulation.
Rose loves outdoor adventures, especially running in the forest, but she also has a cozy side and is very happy relaxing at home.
She is a wonderful balance of active and affectionate.
What makes Rose special:
* Very affectionate and loves to be close to her person
* Enjoys sitting on or right next to you
* Food-motivated and easy to engage
* Highly intelligent and quick to learn
* Athletic and energetic, loves walks and exploring
* Loyal, observant, and emotionally attuned
Ideal home:
Rose will thrive in a calm, adult household where she can receive consistent attention and connection. She is best suited as the only dog, or with one calm, stable male dog. She is not suited for homes with small animals due to prey drive, or for busy multi-dog or chaotic environments.
She does best in a peaceful setting where she doesn’t have to compete for attention.
She does best in a home where she has regular access to the outdoors, ideally with a doggy door or frequent opportunities to go outside, and with someone who enjoys engaging her mentally, as she is highly intelligent and thrives on stimulation.
Things to know:
* House trained
* Needs daily exercise and engagement
* Bonds deeply with her person(s)
* Likes to sleep in and prefers not to be disturbed while resting
* Best with calm, confident people
Why we are rehoming:
Finding a new home for Rose is a thoughtful, loving decision. In a multi-dog household with strong female dynamics, Rose’s dominant and independent nature dominant can lead to tension among our pack and we feel she would thrive in a calmer environment.
She is not a problem dog.
She simply needs a home where she can be more of the focus and thrive without the pressure of other animals in the home.
What Rose offers:
* A loving, loyal companion
* A smart and engaging dog
* An adventurous outdoor partner
* A cuddly presence who loves to be close
Rose is a truly special dog who will flourish in the right home.
