Hi, I’m Kuma. I’m a 6-year-old Rottweiler/Lab mix weighing between 80–100 lbs, and I’m a deeply affectionate, loyal, and gentle soul. I love being close to my people - cuddling, belly rubs, and going for long walks are some of my favorite things. I enjoy toys too, though I tend to keep them more as sentimental keepsakes than for rough play. I have a moderate energy level: I enjoy being active outdoors, but I also truly value quiet downtime. A calm, low-key home suits me best, as loud noises, sudden movements, high-energy environments, and busy traffic areas can be overwhelming and make me anxious. I walk well on a leash and can get excited by bicycles, so I’d benefit from continued work on my leash manners. I am not too bad though. I learn quickly.
I’m well trained overall, house-trained, and comfortable going into my crate when my humans are away, though it does cause me a bit of stress. I handle well but can be quite anxious, so I do best with someone who is patient, steady, and understanding. I have been through a lot in my life, and really just want some companionship, so someone that has lots of time for me. I am such a good boy. I’m dog-friendly, but I wouldn’t be happy living with a young, hyper, high-energy dog - I’d do much better with a calmer canine sidekick who matches my chill vibe.
What I need most is a devoted companion who can spend quality time with me, provide enrichment, plenty of walks, and outdoor time, and offer a peaceful, loving environment. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle heart who will be by your side through everything, I might just be your guy
