Happy Hounds have some birthdays to celebrate today. Happy 5th Birthday to Bear (Golden Retriever). We decided to have a forest adventure party with his pack mates. Weirdly, they all like to wear their hats a little differently. 😂. Happy 6th birthday to Willow (Australian shepherd). Our walker Felix threw an extra fun party with lots of tennis balls and party hats for Willow.

Sir Hunter, Happy Hounds co-founder, celebrated his big double digit birthday. Happy 10th Birthday to my co pilot. You may be starting to slow down but these “golden” years are pure magic. Thanks for making me the best dog trainer and dog walker I can be.

I don’t usually post personal things on this page but I’m too excited to join this club and not share. Hello 50!

Just a few highlights of our May. Great weather, lots of fun on and off leash. We even had a routine vet trip with one of our Mooses (we have 2). Did you know that Happy Hounds offers pet taxi service for our existing clients? We are happy to be a part of your pups life and truly love them like our own. Looking forward to what June will bring.

🐾 Things I Wish People Knew Before Hiring a Dog Walker 🐾

Hiring a dog walker isn’t just about a potty break.
It’s about giving your dog:
✨ Mental stimulation
✨ Exercise that matches their needs
✨ Structure & routine
✨ Socialization opportunities
✨ A happier, calmer day at home

A great dog walk can mean:
✔️ Less boredom
✔️ Less destructive behaviour
✔️ Better manners
✔️ Better sleep
✔️ A more fulfilled dog overall

And one big thing people don’t realize…
We don’t just “walk dogs.”
We learn their personalities, build trust, notice changes in behaviour, celebrate their wins, and care for them like they’re part of our own pack. ❤️

The goal isn’t just a tired dog.
It’s a happy dog.

🐶 Your dog’s daily adventure matters more than you think.
