A seizure can be frightening to witness, but staying calm is one of the most important things you can do.

Move objects away from your pet to prevent injury, but never place your hands near their mouth or try to restrain them.

If it's your pet's first seizure, the seizure lasts more than a few minutes, or multiple seizures occur close together, seek veterinary care immediately.

Call us at (905) 953-5351 if your pet experiences a seizure.

True! Whiskers are highly sensitive sensory tools that help cats detect nearby objects, judge whether they can fit through tight spaces, and navigate in low light.

That's why whiskers should never be trimmed, they're an important part of how cats experience the world.

True! Long-haired breeds are more likely to develop mats, especially behind the ears, under the legs, around the collar, and on the tail.

If you're unsure how often your dog should be groomed, we'd be happy to help. Call (905) 953-5351.

Your pet's gums can tell you a lot about their health. Healthy gums are typically a bubblegum pink color and should feel moist to the touch. Pale, white, blue, gray, or bright red gums can be a sign of shock, anemia, poor circulation, heatstroke, or other serious medical conditions.

If your pet's gums suddenly become pale, blue, gray, or white, seek veterinary care immediately.

If you're concerned about your pet, call us at (905) 953-5351.

Heatstroke doesn't just happen on extremely hot days. Warm temperatures, high humidity, vigorous exercise, or being left in a poorly ventilated area can quickly overwhelm your pet's ability to cool down.

Flat-faced breeds, senior pets, overweight animals, and pets with heart or respiratory disease are especially at risk. If your pet is excessively panting, drooling, vomiting, weak, or collapses, seek veterinary care immediately. Heatstroke is a medical emergency.

If you think your pet may be overheating, call us right away at (905) 953-5351.
