🐰 **Hazel Update** 🩷
Hazel saw the vet yesterday. Unfortunately, our regular vet is away on vacation, so we had to see another veterinarian who isn't familiar with Hazel's long and complicated history.
For now, Hazel has been started on an antibiotic for her abscess, an antacid to help keep her stomach happy, and an additional pain medication to keep her comfortable. The plan is to monitor her closely and then book in with our regular vet when he's back in a few weeks. At that appointment, we'll discuss her next steps, which will likely include another dental procedure.
Since coming home, Hazel hasn't been herself. She hasn't wanted to eat, so we're giving Critical Care feeds, tempting her with all of her favourite treats, and showering her with plenty of pats, kisses, and encouragement to keep fighting. ❤️
Yesterday's emergency visit came to **$486.39**, and we're expecting her next appointment, including a dental, to be around **$1,500**.
