Finally catching up on my posts!
Gander, the big German Shepherd I had the pleasure of watching while his parents were away enjoying the sunny south. 🤍
From the moment Gander arrived, you could tell just how loyal, loving, and smart he was. He sure loved going on long walks and adventures down the road, always taking his time to sniff absolutely everything along the way. He especially loved finding the perfect stick and would proudly carry it all the way home with him. Whether he was stopping to take in all the smells, searching for a good stick, or trotting happily beside you, he made every walk an adventure. 🌎 ❄️ 🌞
Gander’s absolute favourite thing to do outside was play frisbee. The second the frisbee came out, his excitement kicked in instantly. He could play forever if you let him, sprinting back and forth with so much energy and focus. After a solid 15–20 minutes of running, catching, and showing off his skills, he was ready to settle in for some well-earned relaxing time.
He definitely was a guy’s guy and loved having Clark around. No matter where Clark went, Gander was usually right beside him, always wanting to be part of whatever was going on. He truly just loved being around people and soaking up the company. 😍
And when it was time to relax, Gander loved a good cuddle and, of course, a good belly rub. He had no problem settling in and soaking up all the attention after a busy day of walks, frisbee, and adventures.
Gander was also incredibly smart and listened so well to commands like “place.” One of the coolest things to watch was how patient and focused he could be while waiting for the frisbee. 🥰
He even knew the command “dock,” where he would sit between your legs with the frisbee, waiting so patiently for the next throw. You could tell he loved learning, having a job to do, and making people proud 👏 👏
