Margaret Halsey is currently the feature artist. She specializes in portraits of pets on paper, canvas, in watercolour, pastel and acrylic, and also paints faces on fences for funds. ( see dogs of 6th and Devoy and Friends)

site is currently looking for artists whose subject is dogs and cats, who work in anything other than Margaret's,- such as glass, stone, silver, photography, bead work, or any creative pursuit who subject is pets. This is me with my painting of guide dog puppies on the dogs of 6th and devoy and friends fence . The fence started in 2015 just for the love of the dog and to promote their importance to us . Then I met a guide dog puppy and the fence had another reason- to help more people become aware of the importance of guide dog sponsorship. The fence and my other one Cherry lane canine and cats raised over 5000 for the BC and Alberta guide dogs.
Perhaps you have seen the fences.
Come to my studio during the cultural crawl and see some of the drawings and paintings of the dogs on the fence. As well as the celebrity dogs
Each painting of a dog or cat that I commission or sell as a result of the cultural crawl will result in a donation to the BC and Alberta Guide dogs
