It takes a village to raise a farm!
But then again, sometimes all it takes is a dream and a will to persevere.
We built these semi-automated, hydroponic, vertical farms inside refurbished shipping containers on a limited budget, with a very small team and under very tight timelines.
Kudos to my team for staying the course and making this dream come true.
As we move on to the next phase of the project, i.e, optimizing the container farms, we will be installing and testing some of our innovations, such as VoltaGrow towers, plasma-activated seed treatment system, LN2 based cooling system, and retractable solar panels.

We graduated! Alongside 14 other rockstar AgTech startups solving real-world problems from Argentina, Canada, Germany, Sweden, and the US.
Thanks to the academy coordinators, mentors, and the AgTech network at THRIVE, participating in the 12-week agrifood tech pre-accelerator program helped us tremendously in developing our go-to-market strategy.

We're in! We are excited to share that our startup DeepBlue Greens has been selected to participate in the second iteration of the THRIVE Academy II Program to launch us into the next phase of our business.
Our company is one of only 15 chosen from around the world to take part in the twelve-week program designed to support early-stage companies accelerate growth in the Agrifood-tech industry.

The full suite of "plasma agriculture" solutions provided by our startup, DeepBlue Greens, offers several benefits to commercial crop growers, such as:
1. Disinfect seed surface
2. Improved seed germination and better quality seedlings
3. Enhanced plant growth
4. Disinfect harvested produce by washing with plasma treated water (extend shelf life)
5. Sterilize air in storage facility

The VoltaGrow Helix grow tower (shown here as a scaled model) has a unique helical design that allows for the maximum number of grow sites available in a grow tower system. Additionally, it rotates on its central axis to expose all plants evenly to a single LED thus reducing energy use.
