🐾 This month, we celebrate the incredible impact that service dogs can have on the individuals they assist! 🐾

K9 Penny one of our newer puppies. She is only 4 months old.
We are working on her “come” command using a long line.
A long line is used to train recall by showing the dog what the expectation is
and to guide the dog. It prevents the dog from ignoring a command so it’s sets the dog up for successful learning.

Some of our K9’s practicing impulse control through door ways.
This is an important task to do with any K9.
We do this most commonly when going in and out of a household or vehicle as well as feeding times. This helps maintain boundaries and control in a respectful relationship with our K9’s. This task can be done anywhere at anytime you would like to with your K9!

K9 Presley during her public access test today…
Part of this testing process our K9’s have to ignore treats, this mimics them for their future in restaurants. So when there is food or if you drop food they leave it alone.
K9 Presley’s extra heart melt perks, but are important tasks are tucking herself under objects or out of the way and the amazing handler focus!

Fun fact: K9 Presley had been paired with a 15 year old, who is living in Saint Louis Missouri. She’ll be leaving us a bit later in the the year ❤️✈️

K9 Phoenix and her handler took a quick two day trip down to Kelowna B.C 🚗
She crushed it out in public, but was a very tired K9 🥱
At the end of the day you can tell she clearly loves her pillow!
