Misa made the long journey to Nelson from Thailand, and was so friendly and curious to check out the clinic! Doesn't she have the sweetest little face?!

Isn't that just the sweetest face? Woody the miniature dachshund was such a good boy for his Puppy Plan visits!

Today marks Tammy's last day at the Nelson Animal Hospital, which is extremely bittersweet! Tammy has devoted 10 years to providing passionate care for all of the animals, clients, and staff at the Nelson Animal Hospital. No matter the circumstances, she has always been gentle and understanding to help as many animals as possible while providing relief and comfort to our clients. Tammy has rescued hundreds of animals over the years, and it's clear how much she loves and cares for every animal. We are incredibly sad to see her leave our team, but are so excited for her next chapter. We hope Tammy can enjoy some peace and quiet on her retirement, but know she will use her time to devote herself to caring for her rescue animals and spend time with family. We are grateful for a decade of incredible service and will miss her every day! ❤🐾

Jones the Springer Spaniel loves to show off his beautiful chocolate locks! Those big ol' puppy dog eyes make it impossible to resist giving him all the treats and loving 🤎

ALERT! POSITIVE TEST RESULT FOR RABIES in a skunk!

While rare in our area, rabies is a fatal virus with devastating consequences. Protecting your pets with vaccination and using precautions with wild animals are both ways to help reduce your risk.

The virus spreads when the saliva of an infected animal gets into the body. This usually happens through a bite, but it can also pass through scratches or if saliva gets into an open wound or the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Share this post to help your friends and neighbours stay safe.

Sweet little Clementine wanted everyone to admire her beauty, so she strutted around the clinic to show everyone who's boss! She was a very brave girl for her recheck appointment. 🩵
