🐾 BEAR IS STILL WAITING🐾

Six-year-old Bear has been a long-term resident at the Centre, and our staff honestly can’t understand why. 💔

Because Bear is such a good dog.

He’s wonderfully behaved in his kennel, loves his time in the yard, and is already leash trained. But what really makes Bear special is how much he loves his people. Once he trusts you, he is affectionate, loyal, and happiest simply being with you. ❤️

Our staff see what a fantastic dog he is every day. We see his good manners, his sweet personality, and the dog who is patiently waiting for someone to finally choose him.

Bear doesn’t need to be the Centre’s long-term resident. He needs to be someone’s best friend. 🥹

He’s been waiting long enough. Could you be the family he’s been waiting for? 🏡❤️

We are in CAT-astrophic need of clay litter donations!
We have a huge number of cats and kittens in foster homes in need of litter.
If you can help out, we are open daily from 11am until 6pm and have a donation bin in the lobby 🐾 💙

Meet Molly - and scroll through to see all her best angles 😂📸

Molly is a 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality. She has been thriving in foster care, where her foster family has gotten to know just how incredibly loving, loyal, affectionate, and wonderful this girl truly is.

Molly is a medium-energy dog who loves spending time with her people, enjoying some attention, and being part of whatever her family is doing. She is also great with other dogs and cats, making her a wonderful potential addition to a home with furry siblings.

But Molly’s absolute favourite place to be is right beside her people. ❤️ She bonds deeply with those she loves and wants nothing more than to be included as part of the family. Because of this, she does experience some separation anxiety. She can take some time and patience to adjust to being left alone, but her foster family has found that with the proper setup, consistency, patience, and time to feel comfortable, Molly settles in and does well.

Molly just needs someone who understands that moving into a new home is a big change and is willing to give her the time she needs to realize, “This is my home. These are my people. I belong here.” Once she feels secure, she has so much love to give in return.

And we can’t forget her many names! 😂 Molly, Molly Moo, Moo, Moo Moo, Moo Cow, Molly Moo Cow — she excitedly answers to every single one. Call her name and you’ll be greeted with a big, happy tail wag and Molly coming right over for some love and attention. 🥰

Molly is truly a fantastic dog and would make an incredible new family member. She’s loving, loyal, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s devoted companion. She has so much love waiting inside that big heart of hers, and all she’s missing is the family to share it with.

After spending time in foster care, Molly is ready for the next chapter — a family of her own, a place to call home, and the chance to finally feel settled and secure. She’s just waiting for her people to find her.

Do you love animals? Enjoy connecting with your community? Want to make a real impact while having fun? If so, this is your chance to get involved!

The Ontario SPCA’s Community Outreach Department is looking for enthusiastic and flexible volunteers to help keep people and pets together. No two days are the same – one day, you could be helping distribute pet food to the animals that need it most, and the next, you might be assisting at a spay/neuter event, transporting animals on their journey to find a new home or lending a hand at exciting community events!
