NANAIMO… YOU DID IT AGAIN! 🥳🏆

We are absolutely bursting with pride to share that Mahalo Veterinary Hospital has been voted Nanaimo’s #1 Veterinary Hospital Overall in the 2026 Best of the City Awards! 💙💚🧡

Seven years ago, we opened our doors with a big dream: to build a veterinary hospital that did things a little differently — one rooted in exceptional medicine, compassion, community, and LOVE.

And year after year, YOU have continued to show up for us.

Since opening, you’ve voted Mahalo Nanaimo’s #1 PRIVATELY OWNED Veterinary Hospital every single year. 🤯🏆

That is something we will NEVER take for granted.

To our incredible team — LOOK WHAT YOU BUILT. Every long day, every emergency squeezed in, every nervous pet comforted, every client supported, every laugh, every tear and every ounce of heart you pour into this hospital matters. This recognition belongs to you. ❤️

And to our clients and community: THANK YOU, NANAIMO. Thank you for trusting us with your family members, recommending us to your friends, supporting a locally and privately owned hospital, and allowing us to keep growing so we can be here when you need us.

And grow we have. 🥹

Today, Mahalo is a Living Wage Employer and we're now providing Urgent Care 365 DAYS A YEAR, 8AM–8PM.

Seven years in, and we're only getting started.

NANAIMO’S #1 VETERINARY HOSPITAL OVERALL! 🏆

We’re proud.
We’re grateful.
And yes… we’re going to be a little LOUD about this one. 📣🎉

THANK YOU, NANAIMO! 💙💚🧡

🧡 Today, we honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

At Mahalo Veterinary Hospital, we take this day to recognize and reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools, and to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors, their families, and their communities.

We acknowledge that reconciliation is more than one day. It is an ongoing commitment to listening, learning, reflecting, and moving forward with respect and understanding.

We encourage our community to take time today to learn, listen to Indigenous voices, and reflect on the role each of us can play in reconciliation.
