FUN CLASSES STARTING SOON!

We have a variety of great classes soon.

Pups Out & About - starts February 1 at 2:30pm
*This is a great beginner dog or puppy class to learn focus, basic obedience all while exploring new fun dog friendly spots in the community*

Canine Good Neighbour - starts February at 1:45pm
*An excellent want to refine manners and obedience around distractions, each week our class takes on a new challenge*

Novice Rally O - starts February 23 at 4pm
*A fun way to learn and enhance obedience skills and walking on a loose leash while playing a dog sport*

Intro to Tracking/Man Trailing - starts February 28 at 12pm
*Create a trail and teach your dog to follow it, this is a fun and enriching sport for dogs of all ages and breeds*

Fable had her vet check at Benson View Veterinary Hospital this morning. The staff were all amazing and she is in great health. 🥰

Vet visits with a dog reactive dog can be stressful but I checked in without her to start, once the waiting room was clear we could get her weight and right into the exam room. After our check up our vet was kind of enough to ensure we had a clear path back to my vehicle where Fable could rest while I paid. Having a plan at a clinic is a really good idea to minimize everyone’s stress including the other pets that might be there as well.

I’m slight late posting this but I wanted to take a cute photo.

The girls played in the Van Isle Disc Dog Clubs final event of 2025 - Heroes vs Villains!

Fable and Legend were on team Villains and Story of course was a Hero.

Fable and Story were in the ultra competitive Su***de Squad division and little Legend played in Justice League against some much older and more experienced dogs. All 3 girls did great and we were super proud of them.

CARO trial in Calgary at High Tails Pet Resort. Rally Obedience is so much fun!

The girls and I had a fun CARO trial in Calgary this weekend!

Fable was an absolute rockstar! She earned her Novice Brace title with her mom Story. She also ran 3 Intermediate runs and Q’d in all 3 for an Intermediate title. And most excitingly she finished off her Excellent title!

Story was having a good time - she earned her Novice Brace with daughter Fable as well as earned her first C steam Q with a run in Versatility. She also did 1 round of Intermediate and Q’d in that as well!

Legend was a bit overwhelmed this weekend so we used food in her rounds and played FEO. She did a lovely job in her Versatilty and Intermediate rounds.

At High Tails Pet Resort & Grooming they give out special awards and each of the girls earned them! Story was given a good sportsmanship award (mostly for the fun she and I have together when things don’t go as planned), Fable earned the Screamer award because well you can hear her from a mile away during her runs and little Legend earned both “I think I can, I think I can” and “Brave Little Toaster” for her good work ethic and focus even when she’s overwhelmed and tired.

I couldn’t ask for better dogs!

Special thanks to my fellow judges Katharina Zinggl and Nicole Wiebe for being so fun and creative with their courses. I love trialing with you ladies!!! And of course thank you to Manda Poluck who is an extraordinary trial secretary and one of my best friends 🥰.

I can’t wait for the next one!

We’re back from the PNW Championship (Up Dog Challenge). Story and Legend had a super fun time!

Story played in Expert division and earned a 7th in 7Up, 6th in Fireball and a 2nd in Funkey (with a new personal best score).

Legend played in Novice division (she’s 16 months old) and managed a 10th place in Funkey in a very large division (I think there were over 80 dogs in it). Most importantly she kept her puppy brain mostly together, had lovely engagement and focus and a few zoomies. This girl is fast and I’ve got some collection skills to work on!

This event ran super smoothly and I really had a good time playing with my dogs and catching up with friends from all over!

Just a heads up that I will away September 11-14 for the PNW Up Dog Challenge Championship. Wish us luck and we will be in touch once we are home again!
