Benji is a 5-year-old Flemish Giant with an agouti coat, a giant personality, and SO much love to give. She is an absolute sweetheart who loves people and has proven herself to be a total couch bunny in foster care.

Since moving into foster, Benji has also lost some really good weight and is looking and feeling fantastic!

She is spayed, social, loving, and ready for her forever family.

Benji is currently enjoying the good life in Langley, but don’t let the distance stop you! With an approved adopter, we are happy to arrange for Benji to come back to the Island to meet her forever family.

Three beautiful girls, three unique personalities, and three forever homes waiting to be found! 🐰

Sophie, Biana, and Silveny were all born this spring and are growing into lovely young bunnies. They’re curious, playful, and ready to find families of their own where they can be spoiled, loved, and cherished.

Although these girls are currently roomies, they do not need to be adopted together and can absolutely find separate forever homes.

Each girl will need to be spayed before heading home, but applications are open now! Applying ahead of time gives us the opportunity to get to know your family and help find the perfect match.

🥹🖤 KISU HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🖤🥹

Our little man finally got his happy ending!! After everything this sweet boy went through, we are SO excited to say that Kisu has found his forever home. 🏡m

From being found in Nanoose with a severely infected face, to days of coaxing, a scary trip to the vet, countless medications, and a whole lot of recovery… Kisu fought his way through it all.

And now? He gets to spend his days being spoiled with love, affection and approved treats — exactly what he wanted all along.

His scars and missing fur may be part of his story forever, but they only make this special little man even more unique.

We took a chance on Kisu, and we are SO glad we did. 🖤

Happy forever, sweet Kisu. You were worth fighting for. 🐰✨

🌿 UM… WOW! 🌿

Thanks to a wonderful lead from Stephanie, we were able to get TWO TRUCKLOADS of willow for our rescue buns! 😱🐰

That means fresh, delicious willow for the bunnies in our care AND all of our amazing foster homes between Nanaimo and Parksville at least!💚

Needless to say, we’re going to be VERY busy weaving… while our buns are going to be VERY busy chewing! 😂

There’s nothing better than giving our bunnies safe, natural enrichment that keeps those busy little teeth occupied and those curious minds happy.

A big thank you to Stephanie for the lead and to everyone who helped make this incredible haul possible. Rescue truly is a community effort!

🍀 Meet our little trooper, Sachi. 🍀

Sachi’s name means “luck” in Japanese — and this tiny one is going to need plenty of it. 💚

Sachi is only four weeks old and came to us with severe infections in both eyes, including ulcers on both. When we headed to the vet late last night, we honestly expected the conversation to be about letting this little one go. The condition of the eyes was so severe.

But Sachi had other plans. 🥹

After examining this little fighter, the vet felt that Sachi is doing remarkably well considering the severity of the infections and believes there is a chance with much more aggressive treatment.

So that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

For the next five days, Sachi will be receiving intensive antibiotic treatment every few hours around the clock. Then we’ll reassess the eyes and overall condition and see where things stand.

And despite everything, this tiny bunny is fighting.

Sachi clings to a hand. Hops around actively. Manoeuvres through the space as though able to see. Is eating and is showing an incredible will to keep going.

We don’t even know if Sachi is a boy or a girl yet but we already know this little one is one tough bunny.

We also know this may be a long and expensive road. Sachi will likely need extensive ongoing care and several veterinary follow-ups. Depending on how the eyes respond to treatment, there is a possibility that Sachi may ultimately require bilateral enucleation (removal of both eyes).

The current veterinary bill is $150, and we expect that number to grow significantly over the coming days and weeks.

We’re going to need help to give Sachi every chance possible. If you’re able to contribute toward Sachi’s care, even a few dollars can help us continue fighting for this little one.

We don’t know what the outcome will be. We don’t know whether Sachi will keep their sight. We don’t know if surgery will ultimately be necessary.

But right now, Sachi has a chance.

And that’s enough for us to fight alongside this little trooper. 🍀🐇

Meet Fawn & Jolie!

These two sweet foster sisters are making a little pit stop back at the rescue while they recover from their spays! 💕

Fawn is a beautiful grey girl with a sweet white stripe, and Jolie is a gorgeous pumpkin-fawn girl with the cutest little white nose.

They’re only with us for a short time while they heal, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait to fall in love!

🤍 NIMBUS HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🤍

This sweet little boy has officially found his forever home! 🥰🐰

Nimbus came into foster at Bosley’s in Courtenay and quickly stole hearts with his curious, playful, and sweet personality. We’re so happy that he won’t be waiting any longer for his forever family!

And even better… Nimbus will be coming back to visit us next week to hopefully find himself a girlfriend! 💕🐇

We can’t wait to see who this handsome boy clicks with and help him find a bunny companion to share his happily ever after with.
