BC SPCA Nanaimo The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable animals and mobilizing communities so animals and people thrive together.

This page is for supporters of the BC SPCA. We welcome feedback and discussions for all those who wish to share opinions or ask questions. By participating in conversations on this page, you are agreeing to our commenting policy, as follows:

Don’t let his senior status fool you,Fleetwood is full of life and always ready for a little fun! This big, lovable boy absolutely LOVES attention and is happiest when he’s getting all the love he can. One of his favorite pastimes? Making biscuits on the softest, coziest blankets he can find! 🥹

Fleetwood is looking for an indoor-only home where he can spend his days soaking up affection, enjoying cozy naps, playing to his heart’s content, and being someone’s cherished companion. He has a 3/6 heart murmur, so he’s looking for a family who understands his needs and is committed to giving him the love and care he deserves.

Magenta is a pretty girl with an absolutely big heart. She may be nervous when you first meet her, but give her a little time, patience, and love, and you’ll start to see the sweet soul underneath that shy exterior. 💕

Magenta came from a home with many cats, so she’s familiar with feline friends and would likely do well with a confident, friendly cat in her forever home to help show her the ropes. She’s looking for an indoor-only home where she can feel safe, settle in at her own pace, and truly thrive. Most of all, Magenta wants someone who will love her forever and give her the time she needs to blossom.

Once Mooch and Munch, now renamed Annie & Oliver! These two sweet siblings are happier than ever in their fur-ever home!

Meet Sully! Big boy. Big personality. BIG heart! ❤️

Sully is a goofy, affectionate guy who loves adventure, attention, and being his silly self. He’s active and would love a person ready to explore, go for walks, and help him work on his leash skills, he is strong!

Sully is looking for an adult-only home where he can be the only pet. He may enjoy meeting up with the right doggy friends out and about, but he’d prefer to have his home and his people all to himself. 🐶

One important thing to know about Sully: he does experience some separation anxiety when he’s away from the people he loves. His ideal person will be patient, understanding, and willing to help him build confidence and learn that being apart doesn’t mean being alone forever.

Woah! Have you ever seen a tongue this long?!😂

Koda is ready to find his forever person and is looking for a Husky-savvy, adult-only home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and burn off some of that Husky energy.

He’s working hard on his manners and will thrive with patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of love. Once he’s had his playtime, he’s happy to settle in and enjoy quality time with his people. His goofy personality and playful spirit are the best❤️

Koda would love to be the only pet in his home so he can soak up all the attention, although with time and proper introductions, he may enjoy making friends with playful, social dogs.

Let’s help this big-tongued boy find the loving forever home he’s been waiting for!
