👀 Peepers are Open! 🐾

Day 17 has arrived, and the Lainey × Versace babies have officially opened their eyes to the world! It’s always one of my favorite milestones watching them go from tiny newborns to curious little personalities.

💙 Meet Sher – our handsome black boy. He’s already showing us exactly who he is… an independent little fellow who is perfectly content doing his own thing and exploring at his own pace. Confident, calm, and very much his own little man.

💖 Meet Jurni – our beautiful parti girl, and 💛 Nala – our sweet blonde girl. These two are almost always together. Whether they’re snuggled up for a nap or wobbling around their whelping box, they’re happiest side by side. Their bond is already something special to watch.

I’m also thrilled to share that all three puppies have wonderful families waiting for them. Knowing they’ll each be loved, cherished, and spoiled is the best feeling a breeder could ask for.

For now, we’ll keep soaking up every precious puppy cuddle before they begin their own journeys home. ❤️

Good morning from the fabulous trio!

✨ Circle of Life Litter Update ✨

Our Circle of Life litter is growing beautifully, and all three puppies are thriving! Every day they become a little stronger, a little rounder, and even more adorable. 💕

Sired by the very handsome Wysteria’s Versace on the Floor 🦁
Bred by Debbi Frost & Loved by Kim Van Biert. Without these two ladies we would not even have a beautiful litter of pups to love!

Our handsome little black boy has officially been named Sher by his forever family. Sher means Lion, and I absolutely love the strength and meaning behind his name. 🦁

Now I need your help!

I’m looking for the perfect names for his two sisters that fit our Circle of Life litter theme. I’d love names inspired by lions, strength, courage, royalty, or the African savanna. They don’t have to be direct Lion King names, but I’d love them to carry a beautiful meaning.

When someone asks me, or indicates- the runt of the litter?

One of the most common things people say when they see the smallest puppy in a litter is, “Aww, that’s the runt!”

As a breeder, I’d love to gently clear up a common misconception.

The smallest puppy in a litter is not automatically a runt. A true runt is a puppy that experienced restricted growth or developmental challenges before birth and may require extra medical care or have ongoing health concerns.

Many litters simply have natural size variation. Someone has to be the smallest! That puppy can be perfectly healthy, vigorous, nursing well, meeting milestones, gaining weight appropriately, and living every bit as full and happy a life as their larger siblings.

In fact, some of the tiniest puppies grow into beautiful, healthy adults.

So instead of saying “the runt,” consider saying:
🐾 The smallest puppy
🐾 The tiny one
🐾 The little peanut
🐾 The petite puppy

It may seem like a small difference, but to responsible breeders who carefully monitor every puppy’s health and development from the moment they’re born, those words matter.

Every puppy is an individual, and every one deserves to be celebrated for who they are not labeled by their size. ❤️

Sired by the very handsome AKC CKC GCH Wysteria's Versace on the Floor - Bred by Debbi Frost & Loved by Kim Van Biert. Without these two ladies we would not even have a beautiful litter of pups to love!!

Our newest little miracles are here, and Momma Lainey is doing an amazing job. Over the next few weeks, they’ll be busy growing, nursing, sleeping, and soaking up all the love as they begin their journey.

Thank you to everyone who has been following along and cheering us on. I can’t wait to share updates, milestones, and (of course!) plenty of adorable puppy photos as these little ones grow.

For now, we’re enjoying this precious newborn stage and making sure everyone is healthy, warm, and thriving.

All pups have loving homes and their new paw families are looking forward to meeting them

Oh my goodness…. I just realized I never shared my 3rd secret!!!….

First one was Nova show debute Second was Stori joining the pack AND NOW, Well now we are even closer to the day…. Should be by the end of this week. Any guesses?

Hint… includes the number 3, the number 12 and the letter L.

Rici was a very fun dog to show and she earned her Championship with ease!

Pending CKC confirmation, Seda’s Radiant Ruby (“Rici”) has earned the points required to become a Canadian Champion, and I couldn’t be more proud to finally share her beautiful championship photo.

Rici is a wonderful reminder that preservation breeding is truly a team effort.

My deepest gratitude goes to Yvette of Wyntr’Gem Havanese for once again presenting a Seda Havanese with grace, professionalism, integrity, and impeccable sportsmanship. Thank you for the exceptional care you give every dog entrusted to you and for helping Rici earn the final points needed to complete her championship.

Thank you to Susan and Terry for believing in Rici, supporting Seda Havanese, and allowing her to remain an important part of my breeding program while giving her a loving home where she thrives.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the support of Dan and Miranda, who co-own Rici’s dam, Tobi, and Leo’s family, whose continued support of Leo has been invaluable to my breeding program.

Moments like these are never the achievement of one person. They reflect the dedication, trust, and shared vision of everyone who works together to preserve the Havanese breed with sound structure, beautiful temperaments, and healthy, happy dogs. Thank you ❤️

Our official photo from last weekend at the NCK Dog Show. Nova was awarded Best Baby Puppy in the Toy Group. Huge thank you to judge Kim Haddon from Australia for choosing her from a lineup of beautiful baby puppies. We have a few weeks off and then we will be in the ring again!
