Rocky, Tilly, Lucy, Janey, Abby, Manny, and Ari had a nice, relaxing walk today. This is definitely the most laid-back group of the week, and it was a great way to wrap up Friday. Everyone was content to stroll along, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the day at an easy pace. A calm, drama-free walk with a wonderful crew—couldn’t ask for a better start to the weekend!

Fridays pack 🐾 Flint, River, Skye, Leo, Brontë, Rupert, Di’ya and Pigeon.

Well it was definitely a wet one for us today. We haven’t had a real wet hike in a while 🌧️ I would like to say we all prefer the ☀️☺️

Everyone was pretty chill today, for the most part lol We for sure had some moments of crazy energy! We had a couple of encounters, but everyone handles it with ease.

I will say that they weren’t overly in a rush to go for a swim today as days previous. But for sure there were a few that enjoyed a little swim. I did catch Brontë in her element….having a p**p in the middle of the trail 😂 But I expect nothing less from her 😉

Everyone stuck fairly close together for our hike back down towards the van, except Pigeon (AKA little bird, as I like to call her. She always sticks right close to me after all the crazies have worn off.

I hope even has a great weekend, and I will see you next week 🐾

Today’s pack 🐾 Taco, Wyatt, Tucker, Lucus, Opie, Lea, Harley and Morgan.

Today’s hike started off with a lot of great energy! Everyone was happy to be out, and ready to explore.

They all ran to what was once a great watering hole…but is now just maybe 3 inches of mud lol But there is always another one that has water.

Taco, Morgan, Wyatt and Lucus are always consumed by their sniffing that NEEDS to be done! Which is quite a lot of fun to them. Harley like to do lots of check ins with me, she is great for staying right close the whole hike. Lea and Tucker stay up front almost all the time, they like to be the first ones to maybe find something good. And Opie brings up the rear, he doesn’t live like he is in a hurry 😂

On our way back from the hike I had 3 of the dogs signalling that there was something in the forest. The dozen Ravens screaming at whatever it was definitely made everyone pay attention. So we leashed up and carried on. The hike ended with very tired pouches 🐾

Another great day with a great group! George, Reese, Mako, Ralph, River, Nova, Finnigan, and Ben were all in good spirits and ready to hit the trails. Plenty of sniffing, exploring, and hanging out with friends along the way. Everyone got along well, enjoyed the fresh air, and made for a fun, easygoing adventure. A wonderful pack and a great way to spend the day! 🐾

Wednesday’s crew 🐾 Di’ya, Allie, Maui, Tilly, Pigeon, Rocket and Kippen.

Today was my last Wednesday hike with this crew. I always love my Wednesday hikes. These guys are all amazing!! I love each and every one of them!! They are the most relaxed group I hike, and all get along so well. Lots of play time time and chasing each other back and forth on the trail. If I stop to even just tow my shoe, everyone of them stops and comes to make sure everything is ok 🥰

I made sure they had a great time today, lots of swim time, and maybe a few more treats given than usual 😉 I am sure my new South end pack will be just as great, and I know I will still get to hike a few of these cuties on my other days.

We took extra pics today, which they are always good for….cause they know that treats will follow. The weather was amazing today! Not blazing hot, but still warm and very enjoyable.

This lovely training crew had another excellent day 🌞

Dixie was confident she would get returned home again at the end of the day. Bodhi made us laugh with another round of zoomies. Kate had a blast tracking scents. Mango was super happy to see all her newest friends!

Staff dogs Tui, Aio and Ada came along to round out the pack - we were planning to do a full crew of eight but Rua came home with a limp from the morning hike.

Everyone has graduated, and will slot into their regular packs next week 🙌 I'm super excited to see how they all do!

Tuesday’s pack 🐾 Maple, Nanuk, Taco, Mikey, Morgan, Yukon, Buddy and Tucker.

Well with today’s weather 🥵 we may have been quick out of the gate, but that quickly passed. We headed straight for the shade of the forest.

Once we were in there it wee much cooler. But they all know where the usually cool off spots are, but most of those spots are just mud pits now! Trying to keep them out can be hard. You win some you lose some 😂

Nanuk, Tucker, Morgan, Tavo and Tucker were the first ones to run in and enjoy that fun mud. Mikey, Buddy, Maple and Yukon used their listening rate today and did not proceed lol

We finally got to the spot that they love at the end of the trail. We hung out there for a bit so they could all cool off and have a drink. But wow fore the energy come back after that happens.

Nanuk may have decided for one last dip…maybe wanted a nice mud mask, we will call it a spa day.

We did however end up at our other swim spot at the end so we could get everyone cleaned up before the drive home.

It was already 8000° by the time we got to the trailhead so we beelined it for the shade and then headed straight to the swimming hole. We stayed there for quite a while and everyone went in for a swim except Norman (we don’t judge him 🤪). Bailey, Autumn, and Lenny were definitely the lead swimmers, busy fetching sticks the whole time, while everyone else just flopped around in the water, had a good drink, and cooled off. After that it was straight back to the van with the AC on full blast. Hopefully we’re not out here when it hits 30°+ 😭

On another note, today was sadly Maple Fudge and Autumn’s last hike with us. I’ve been told they’re moving across the country, and I just want to wish them and their family safe travels and all the best on their new adventure. It’s been so nice getting to know Autumn since I started, and Maple Fudge over the last couple of months. They’re both such great dogs and will definitely be missed by the whole pack ❤️
